We came to Cafe 51 after I read reviews and saw pictures of the banana pancakes that they serve - I must admit, got very intrigued and wanted to try them myself! During the whole trip we found it very hard to find people who speak English in restaurants and cafes, but the lady serving us here (assuming the owner) was speaking very good English and the service we received was extremely welcoming.
The pancake definitely met my expectations! Very crispy, with lots of banana, condensed milk and cocoa powder, it was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. One pancake was 60,000 VND - £2 and the tea 10,000 VND - £0.3. After the meal we were given a complimentary pot of tea, which was a nice touch.
