Quán Café 51 — Restaurant in Hue City

We came to Cafe 51 after I read reviews and saw pictures of the banana pancakes that they serve - I must admit, got very intrigued and wanted to try them myself! During the whole trip we found it very hard to find people who speak English in restaurants and cafes, but the lady serving us here (assuming the owner) was speaking very good English and the service we received was extremely welcoming.

The pancake definitely met my expectations! Very crispy, with lots of banana, condensed milk and cocoa powder, it was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. One pancake was 60,000 VND - £2 and the tea 10,000 VND - £0.3. After the meal we were given a complimentary pot of tea, which was a nice touch. Delicious. We came here very early in the morning (around 6.00) and it was already busy. The owner was very confused about us (two very tired, with big backpacks, backpackers) but she was so kind. She gave us the best service and tried to help us with our plans for in the city. So kind. The cafe was small but cozy with also a lot of locals. There was a lot to choose from and the food was very good. Apparently they are very proud of their banana pancakes, so you should really try!...

First of all, the banana pancake is AMAZING! We ended up ordering seconds because we liked it so much! We also ordered noodles soop and fried spring rolls which were also good. Second of all, the service was just as good as the banana pancake! The owner is very friendly and helpful. She helped us a lot because we didn't have enough dong in cash and she kindly accepted that we pay in Euros. Super happy to have eaten here and would definitely...
