On 10 Aug, I came here with my family for lunch as part of a tour group, arranged by BlueSun Hotel. We had informed our tour guide at around 8am that we do not take pork and beef, only chicken and fish. Somewhere along the line, there was a miscommunication and the restaurant assumed we were fully vegetarian. When we arrived at lunchtime, a bit after 12.30pm, every other table for the guests that were with us for the tour had five to six dishes, while ours only had one plate of fried rice, one of white rice and one of salad. When 10 minutes went by with zero dishes being brought to our table, my family and I repeatedly approached the waiters for more food but were ignored on multiple occasions. Some of the waiters even asked the tour guide where we had come from when we made these approaches.
We understand that miscommunication gaps can happen- but giving only 3 vegetarian dishes is unacceptable regardless. On top of that, we experienced such poor customer service with waiters acting as if we were freeloading in their restaurant. It’s only after we demanded to see the manager and made several demands for an equal amount of food as the rest of our tour group that we were brought spring rolls, fish, chicken and some incredibly badly done soup.
Not a single apology was given, either. In fact, the rest of our tour group received shrimps and big prawns. When we asked for shrimps because the rest of our tour group received them, the working supervisor provided us a plate with small shrimps and said “Finish.” Her behaviour was honestly horrendous, and we were left with a terribly awful impression of the restaurant. Zero compensation was provided for this awful experience, even after we submitted an official complaint through our hotel.
We are incredibly furious about the treatment we received at this restaurant- it has marred our overall travelling experience. If you are planning to visit Hue city, I strongly suggest not visiting this restaurant. It seems they do not care about giving tourists from foreign countries a pleasant experience. And apparently if you are vegetarian, you are only entitled to...
Read moreWe went to this place because it's directly across our hotel. Ratings were also very, very high.
Service here was excellent. The waiters were attentive. The girl in the photo speaks great English too so you won't have a hard time choosing your order. She can recommend for you. The place is also very nice with Chinese interiors. You can take a photo with Chinese costumes for 1 USD.
However, we really didn't like the food. It was oily and didn't taste good at all. It was also very expensive. We were even charged for the wet towels that they gave us.
On our way out, we were asked to give them a review of...
Read moreThe restaurant looks great on the outside as well as the inside but its dishes did not measure up to its potential.
Though there are a variety of dishes being served but none stands out. We did not get the feel good effects from any of the dishes.
To be honest we think they were more interested in making a good presentation with nice vegetable cravings and decor than pleasing diners' palate.
There was also no special Vietnamese foods but ordinary ones which you can get anywhere. We are from Malaysia on a Danang 5D4N...
