Best Bar in Vietnam – Possibly the World!

For us, Brown Eyes Bar is not just the best bar in Vietnam—it might be the best in the world right now. We visited five years ago and fell in love with everything: the vibrant atmosphere, expertly crafted cocktails, outstanding service, and the unique charm of the building itself. The bar features a lovely patio and two floors, each offering a different ambiance to suit all moods.

Hygiene is very important to us, and we were pleased to see that the place is thoroughly cleaned every day before opening—something that not all bars prioritize. Before our trip to Hue, we checked to see if Brown Eyes had survived COVID and were so happy to find that it had!

During our visit, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Mr. Phu. He is a gracious host, speaks perfect English, and makes everyone feel genuinely welcome. The entire staff is fantastic—always ensuring that people feel included and entertained. Their full-size pool tables are excellent, and the cocktails and shots are absolutely to die for.

As a mature couple, we truly appreciated that the Brown Eyes Bar is welcoming to all adult age groups. It’s a place where everyone can feel comfortable and enjoy a great night out.

The best thing first, the staff, everyone ia extremly nice and friendly. They try to make sure you have a good time and are generally intrested in making your stay as comfortable as possible. Honestly its impossible to overstate how good the staff is. If they have time they are happy to entertain you with jenga or billards.

The atmosphere is good, the bar has a cool vibe, better than most bars, restaurants and coffeeshops and has ac inside.

The juices i had were good albeit selection was a bit limited for me as a non alcohol drinker, but honestly, if you go there to have a party you can choose from a lot of variety.

All in all its an experience you dont want to miss, especially as a solo traveler or as someone who wants to have a good time.

SCAM! They lure tourists into the bar, giving them a voucher, telling them the first drink is for free. I even rejected an additional "free" shot and the waiters were quite disappointed that I didn't want to drink alcohol, even tried to give me a cocktail with Malibu as "non alcoholic". When I then left the bar after I finished my pineapple juice they were running after me to make me pay for my "free drink". It's a cheeky scam and they surround you with 5 waiters to then get the money from you. I asked for the manager, he was part of the scamming group. Never go there! Bar was anyway empty and boring, that's why I left, but this procedure should have gone to the police. But they know, it's easy to scam foreigners.
