The room was very comfortable, good bed, good sized room, good hot shower. Breakfast had a good variety for you to choose from, and we could choose more than one item. Room was cleaned every day. The hotel is a great location and away from the noise.
You can rent a scooter right there and the bus for your next destination as well.... BUT BE CAREFUL WITH BUS PRICES. There were 3 different people at the front desk during our stay and they all gave us diferent prices for it. The first one said 800k, the second one 620k, and the last one wanted 750k, and we had to tell her we had already arranged ged a different price. They don't give you any info about the bus so no way to look it up. It was a very good bus though, bus when we looked at the drivers paper it said the price was actually 450k.
I also didn't like how pushy the male front desk was about paying with cash. He didn't even ask if we could, he kept saying pay with cash and then "well, you pay this with cash, and that with card", very rude. This is a hotel and I should be able to pay HOWEVER I WANT unless stated otherwise.
The bus and cash situation really ruined our opinion about the hotel, they should fix their prices instead of trying to get more money from their guests.
We want to thank Thuy for being honest, helpful and so kind during our stay, we really felt we...
Read moreUp an alley, so car couldn't get up, but well located for restaurants, the weekend Walking Streets and to pick up taxis. On arrival, greeted with fruit and a cool drink. Desk staff spoke good english. We were offered an 'upgrade' at no extra cost if we cancelled our original reservation on Booking.com and paid them direct. We believe this was to avoid their paying their fee. The room was fairly large, but no better, really than others we were able to peek into, and the tiny balcony overlooked the alley, not the small pool. Also there was noise from the bars until after midnight. The shower room was very 'tired', and inside the wardrobe and under the bed dusty. We had to request a kettle, and there was no complimentary water until the second afternoon.||We were given a 'sales talk' about trips they could organise but we prefer to do our own organising. The one service we did use was the private car to Hoi An via the Hai Van Pass and Da Nang, which was comfortable and made 3 arranged stops to take photos and visit the Lagoon for a drink stop, and the highest point of the Pass. Chum, the driver, was pleasant and courteous. Cost $53 US, paid in dong, as was the bill.||Breakfast was fine with a quite large choice brought to order - good scrambled eggs and plentiful fruit.||Nothing really special here, apart from the convenience...
Read moreWe had a pleasant stay here at hotel Thien 1. The pool is nice and clean with towels provided & an outdoor shower to clean off. The family that own / run the hotel are really accommodating, kind and more than happy to help. Room service is provided every day, bed made, fresh towels / sheets, bins emptied, water provided. Breakfast can be provided, you ether pay for it as a package or you can pay 50,000VND per person to eat, nothing extravagant but still nice & convenient. The location is just off one of the walking streets BUT … it is very quiet and no noise can be heard when in rooms. Guests that were sharing the hotel with us were quite loud from 7am - 11pm but that’s not the hotels fault. The room itself self was convenient but basic & small (If you have large suitcases you may struggle to store them). Shower had amazing water pressure, hot and cold available. Bed was quite firm and pillows fairly small and hard. Perfect for backpackers / travellers who are wanting a cheap & basic stay with the luxury of having a pool. The hotel do offer activity’s / transport / bike rental etc etc. we took the transport to hoi an which included a tour, with a English speaking guide, of 4/5 local tourist spots, & water all for a combined price of 280,000 per person (Cheaper than anywhere...
