I’m Vietnamese, currently traveling across my beautiful country — something I’ve always wanted to do.
This café is tucked away on a quiet little street, and when I walked in, I thought, “Wow, this place feels special.” The atmosphere was calm and cozy, the staff were very friendly. 🥰 I sat at a table right by the riverside, just steps away from the water. From where I was, I could see Cửa Ngăn of the Imperial City — the ancient walls of Đại Nội standing proud, reflecting on the calm river. The breeze was cool, and for a moment, everything felt still. 🙂↕️
It was the kind of peacefulness you don’t expect to find in the middle of a trip — but it finds you anyway. 😚
And the food? Let me tell you: • Phở Bò & Phở Gà 🍲: Light, rich, and super comforting. Like a warm hug in a bowl. • Bún Bò Huế 🍜: Flavorful, spicy, bold — totally hit the spot. • Bánh Mì 🥖: Crispy, fresh, delicious. Simple and unforgettable. • Fried Pork Spring Rolls 🥟 & Steamed Rice Cakes (Bánh Bèo) 🍘: So tasty I didn’t even want to share. 😂
Vegetarian dishes also surprised me: • Bún Chay 🌿: Fresh noodles, herbs, tofu — light but satisfying. • Gỏi Cuốn Chay 🥢: Refreshing, full of texture, and that peanut sauce? Chef’s kiss.
And of course — the Salted Cream Coffee
☕️🧂: I’ve had Vietnamese coffee before, but this one was something else. Rich, smooth, a little salty, super creamy — I could’ve sat there for hours just sipping and staring out at the view.
All in all, you really should give this place a try — at...
Read more5 stars well deserved because they pay attention to details. I ordered one takeaway chicken rice because we have to go to the train station on time and have not enough time seating at the restaurant. I asked for one more spoon in case my bf want to share my meal. And surprisingly when I am on the train checking my bag, I found out they included two more bananas, 2 tissues, 2 chopsticks. Super caring and sweet. Food is hot and we didnt have to wait long. Bonus point that it comes with the paper bowl so environmental friendly! I like that. Now the food smells so good that the other pp on the train are jealous of us 🤭 I notice the 2nd floor the AC is open air and no door to keep the cool air so the AC maynot be cool enough for some people, but still nice to have. I hope the manager will consider some transparent curtains or door to keep the AC working for 2nd floor, to make the AC make sense. I just waited downstairs with seats outdoors with decent fans (one of them is slow and not working well) but the rest of fans worked well. This is for the manager to improve to bring the customers more pleasant experience in the hot weather. Lovely place overall. Nice view for sightseeing and chilling. The decor outside...
Read moreWe found this pretty restaurant come out from the Hue Imperial City and it’s been a great surprise cause we were struggling to decide which of the thousand restaurants to choose for lunch! This place is nice, is in a tiny road in front of the river and the external walls of the imperial city. A really pretty, gentle and kind lady welcomed us and offer to sit on a table outside next to the river! I decided to take the traditional Vietnamese Bun Bo Hue which ended up to be really really tasty! We ordered also the vegetarian spring rolls which came unassembled meaning that we had to assemble by ourselves, I didn’t appreciated this that much cause she didn’t explained us anything and we didn’t exactly know what to do, anyway we ended up asking them to create the rolls for us and they did it without any problems, btw they were actually super good 👍🏻 to summarize: if you are looking for a nice and quiet place with a great view and a nice staff that makes good traditional food, I think this is the right place! Oh another thing: the bill was crazily good 👍🏻 also...
