I am an expat in Hue who often hosts many important events in hotels and resorts, Park View Hotel being one of them. Today I had my helmet stolen from my bike in the parking lot of the Park View Hotel. When I told the security guards about my stolen helmet, they only gave me the ‘Vietnamese hand motion’ without wanting to take ANY responsibility or directing me to hotel personnel who could help me out. I had spoken to the front office staffs but they just kept me waiting standing while sweating in summer heat. I even saw one of the front office staff RAISING HER VOICE to one of my Vietnamese colleagues who was translating and speaking for me. In the end, they handed me just enough cash to go get myself a new helmet but this was very disappointing and frustrating. This whole story wasted an hour of my time and I was late for my important meeting. Nobody apologized to me except for the HR Manager. Nobody at least offered me to have a seat while they run around. By the way, they only started running around when I had identified myself as the host of the event in their hotel and told them that if they don’t take care of this matter I won’t be paying for the event today. Before I identified myself, they DIDN’T DO ANYTHING but told me useless comments like “Oh I thought you were Vietnamese”. HOW RIDICULOUS! They really need to train their staffs to take responsibility for whatever happens to their guests in their property! I would like to thank ONLY the HR Manager who tried to fix this problem. I will no longer hold any event again in Park View Hotel. I am very disappointed in their extremely irresponsible and...
Read moreBooked Park View hotel for my team to attend a conference near the hospital. The facilities is subpar more on the 3* or lower level than what it says is 4*. The staff is hit and miss depending on who is on duty. One staff denied my request to have an additional key, while giving me an attitude for such a request.
In addition, the showers were wet and water overflow each time I take a shower. When asking to see if I can get a late checkout for 1pm, the staffs on duty had an overpowering demeanor and suggested I had to pay 30% of the daily rate for such an extension. I told them it's only an extra hour when I've rented over 4 rooms for two nights, which I was asking to extend 2 rooms for an hour.
Much to my surprise on their customer service level, or lack thereof, the didn't really care much about the customers. They only cared about themselves and the additional fee to charge.
There are other better alternative than Park View. I will not stay nor recommend anyone...
Read moreLocation good. Rooms and food good. Srvice and staff were okay. However the one really concerning aspect of our stay at the Parkview Hotel was the constant staff requests for guests to right them a personal "positive only"reviews on their performance on the Hotel Trip A Deal app link. To the point that they would stand behind you instructing you how to do it and basically what the they thought we shoukd write. Quite a few members of our "My Cruise Tour" Party, from Australia, including myself and my wife were quiet distressed, to the point that we felt it was harassment. My wife and I are experienced travellers as are most of our group and we understand the competitive nature of the hotel and hospitality industry. However we do not feel we need to be exposed to this type of behaviour at any hotel and, it would be wise for management to remind or educate their staff about this type of behaviour not being appropriate, when dealing with...
