Great restaurant if you want to try authentic Vietnamese food. This is the kind of place that reminds me of family dinners at home where you geta bowl of rice and there's a few dishes to share. Usually something with veggies, someting with meat and most of the time also a soup/cooking water from the veggies. We've been here twice for dinner.
The banana flower salad with pork and shrimp was great, very flavorful through the fresh herbs, a good nuoc cham (fish sauce dressing and more on the side if you feel like you need more), plenty of shrimps and pork. It comes with homemade shrimp crackers. The thit kho (caramelized pork belly) was spot on. Porkbelly with skin, soft, rich flavors and just like mom makes it. It comes with egg too. The sauteed mini shrimp were salty, crunchy and really nice. So was the grilled squid, although I'd like a have a slightly bigger portion. The pork belly with mustard greens also tasted like home. And the fried tofu is a must: warm, fluffy and crunchy and comes with mam tom (fermented shrimppaste). Really really good.
I love the family style dinner they offer. They have a wide selection of food on the menu and I'm sure there's something for everyone. Staff is also very friendy and it's no problem to pay...

If you’re craving authentic Nha Trang cuisine — known for its fresh seafood, delicate flavors, and coastal charm — then Ot Hiểm is the place to be. Every dish we tried beautifully captured the essence of central Vietnam’s seaside culture, with fresh ingredients and that signature balance of light, fragrant, and subtly spiced flavors that Nha Trang is famous for.
What truly elevated our experience was the incredible hospitality. The staff were not just attentive — they were genuinely warm and thoughtful. We were celebrating our auntie’s birthday, and they graciously helped us prepare the birthday cake, even playing birthday music to make the moment extra festive. It was such a thoughtful and joyful surprise, and it made us feel truly cared for and welcomed.
Whether you’re a Nha Trang native missing the flavors of home, or a curious foodie ready to explore Vietnam’s coastal cuisine, Ot Hiểm is a must-visit. The food is top-notch, and the people behind it make the experience even...
Read moreI don’t understand how this place got so much rating. Let me explain. I came in at 9:20. I wanted to have some grilled fish but they told me that all the grilled options were sold out. I can’t believe it because they closed the grill so I had to choose something else, I ordered shrimp with white bean but look at the small shrimp. Does that look shrimps to you? Looks like baby shrimp not even and I ordered the baby clam soup There is more green than the baby clams and it’s not even tasty. I saw a rat right under my table, I wish I could’ve taken a picture, that literally stopped me from eating here. I have also ordered some star fries herbs rice but the guy totally forgot and the kitchen was already closed. I mean it was awful from start to finish. Just run away. It’s...
