I would've liked to give them a 4.5, me and my wife were very impressed by the authentic Japanese style of both the restaurant and the staff, the staff was also very friendly, welcoming, helpful and respectful. The sushi rolls were rich in taste and served in good shape, a bit meager for the price perhaps. However... between me and my wife we only ordered 5 dishes, it took 1.5 hours till the final dish was served (while having ordered all 5 when we came in), at that point we were utterly bored of waiting, so when the deep fried chicken (last dish) ended up being tasteless and full of fat and muscle (more than actual meat) we were severely disappointed. All of this was the case while the place was only half full.
I would like to recommend the place for the experience, but as other reviews have said the serving time is just way too long and the food you then finally get just doesn't justify the waiting time. If they could drastically improve the serving speed this will be a super easy place to recommend, for now I'd recommend a more...
Read moreWe’ve been traveling throughout Vietnam for over a week staying in each city for a couple of days. Sincerely, it’s been a struggle to find a quality food everywhere, but, most important, we were extremely disappointed with the quality of service and 0 ability of anyone to interact in English to take our order right or to explain anything at all. We’re pleasantly surprised with Akira Sushi place, which had not only an incredible ambiance (the option to be seated in an open dining space or a private room!), but a great selection and quality of Japanese dishes. Despite deserts’ option was limited, the waitress called Xuan made our dining experience up to the highest level - she speaks English fluently, she suggested to us a few great options on the menu which were phenomenal and she really provided us with the best service which we truly appreciated. Great places are great because of the people like Xuan!...

Some of the dishes were really good and the value was fantastic. Especially, their tempura is worth mentioning as the way it's fried was very professional and the texture was perfect!! I grew up in Tokyo and lived there for 20 years, but it's really rare to find great tempuras in Tokyo unless it's a high end place. Teriyaki chicken was also good, and I liked Nishin sushi out of any sushi here since others are not so good. I ordered "Chicken Nanban" on the menu, but "Chicken Tatsuta" came out, so that Japanese translation on the menu is wrong. Still, the value...
