Hidden Gem in Nha Trang - Kiwami Sushi Restaurant is Exceptional!

Nestled along a bustling street in downtown Nha Trang, Kiwami Sushi Restaurant is a delightful surprise waiting to be discovered. Despite its unassuming and small entrance, this restaurant offers a dining experience that is nothing short of exceptional.

From the moment we stepped inside, we were impressed by the quality, preparation, and taste of the food. The scallop sashimi was absolutely out of this world – fresh, delicate, and bursting with flavor. The rolls were larger than your average sushi roll and simply delicious. We also tried the crispy chicken with accompanying mayonnaise, which was a perfect blend of texture and taste, and the pork, which was outstanding.

Without a doubt, this is some of the best sushi we have ever had, easily surpassing many of the more famous names in the sushi arena, including those in big cities like London and New York. And the best part? The price! It was exceptionally good, bordering on cheap, which makes this restaurant one of the finest places to eat in Nha Trang.

Lucky to have this excellent Japanese run sushi joint in Nha Trang. This competently Japanese-run place is hands down the best sushi place in town. The location is a bit away from the main tourist area, and the place is tiny, but the place has an authentic feel to it, which includes a Japanese chef behind the counter and smoking Japanese patrons in front. This might not be everyone's cup of tea, but in the end it's all about the fresh fish when it comes to sushi and Kiwami delivers the goods. Their nigiri are fresh and succulent with big slices of fish over a small chunk of tasty rice, just the way it should be. The rolls are generous but without sauce or mayo overkill, just the way it should be. Prices are on par with the other sushi bars in town, which makes this one easily the best value, seeing that they offer by far the best quality (Sakura used to be great, but has disappointed me on recent visits). chose this place as it was my sister in law's birthday and wanted to treat her. atrocious service. 5 people we ordered the biggest sashimi platter and the biggest sushi platter along with the biggest bottle of sake and two servings of beef. the sashimi came and within 5 mins came the beef. tried to explain to the Japanese and Vietnamese chef that you can't have both at the same time and the reply was that we are busy and we just serve everything at once. this would be sacrilege in Japan. on top of that the drinks order were out of order. I understand the place is busy and they are trying to push people through. utterly disappointed with the service , food and the whole experience. will not recommend and will never return. as we were so disappointed and still hungry, we went next door to the Korean BBQ for much cheaper and the service was so great that I was more than happy to leave a tip for all the staff there.
