Wonderful staff. Very courteous and exemplify what Vietnamese hospitality should be. There was a Korean couple that didn’t bring enough money and HENRY, the owner/manager, just told them to pay at a later date. Food items were delicious. We ordered the Combo Cuôi (2 Bánh xèo + 4 grilled pork skewers with noodles and veggies to wrap + 2 kumquat iced tea with honey), 1 banana blossom salad with shrimp and pork, 1 order of spring rolls (Goi Cuốn Tom thịt), and 1 ramen sautéed with shrimp and squid. Everything were tasty, albeit a bit modified to suit Westerner’s taste. We didn’t mind since we can’t handle the undiluted fish sauce and other sauces. I’d say much fresher and better quality than the indoor restaurant right at the entrance of Cho Dem Bai Trường, that we dined the night before. (They reused the meat from previous day. Eww…) Henry explained their origin from Hoi An and even offered us complimentary egg or salt coffees after the meal. We couldn’t take the caffeine so late at night but truly appreciated his kindness. Strongly recommend for anyone who are tired of the heckling of Cho Dem Phu Quoc and crowded streets of Duong Dong Center. Thanks Henry and staff from Tawney’s family.
