The appetizers were good, presentation of the plates were nice. They did not separate guests between smoking and non smoking so we had an involuntary continuous side of cancer causing second hand smoke with our meal. We started out with italian squid rings, I asked if there would be marinara they said yes, yes. When the plate came it was not italian style, and the bowl of marinara was a may ploy sauce with oversaturation of ginger, the squid was done nicely thou. 2nd app was fried shrimp spring rolls it was gingery the sauce was gingery mixed with the may ploy sauce. The difference between our chicken curry and the shrimp in coconut broth was the curry powder, other than the protein. I ordered a whole snapper bbq, they applied the sauce they mention but was burnt in the process so wasn't as flavorful. The swimming pool (drink) was ok but the cream curdled. Read moreAbsolutely loved this family-friendly Vietnamese restaurant! A welcoming, family-run spot serving incredibly fresh, flavourful, and homemade dishes. We ended up coming back several times during our trip because everything was just so tasty!
The honest cooking from the kitchen truly lit up our taste buds. We tried the fresh prawn spring rolls, deep-fried prawns, vegetable fried rice, and coconut steamed prawns all delicious! My husband had the squid fried rice and loved it.
We came back again today for more spring rolls and fried rice with shrimp — the shrimp were huge and perfectly cooked! My husband had the Pho Bo (beef noodle soup), which was also full of flavour.
The young boy and girl who served us spoke excellent English and were incredibly friendly and attentive. A wonderful dining experience all around highly recommend for a tasty lunch or dinner!
Oh and for the 80s music...
Read moreI had high hopes coming to this restaurant based off the reviews. The menu selection was good and offered a lot of variety of cuisines from Vietnamese, pasta, burgers, etc. The price was slightly higher than the usual street food, you'll be looking at 150,00 to 250,000 dong depending on what you order. What was very disappointing was that the food took a long time to come out. I dont usually time how long it takes to come out but it was roughly 30-40 min to get the appetizers out. Food was ok, nothing really stood out so unfortunately I don't think it really lived up to the hype. The restaurant wasn't that busy either. I think this place is mainly targetted at tourists so don't expect a lot of locals. All in all, this will be a place to go to if you want variety, but I'd rather eat somewhere else that serves more locals. Definitely not...
