My wife and I stayed at the Salinda resort for 5 days following a tour of mainland Vietnam, and had a great experience. On arrival at Phu Quoc airport we were met by a driver from the hotel in their courtesy car. From that point onwards we were extremely well looked after. On entering the calm reception area there is a nice fragrance throughout the whole of tranquil hotel. At reception we were taken down to the bar to complete the check-in. We we give a small selection of 4 fruit juices and cold towel to refresh ourselves and a very good explanation of the hotel facilities including a map. Rooms are large and well appointed with a balcony with soft loungers. Everything in the rooms is of a good quality and stands head and shoulders above anywhere we've stayed at over the last 3 weeks in other hotel in Vietnam. Staff have been exceptional, very helpful and attentive, which has not always been the case in other places. Breakfasts are substantial. You can start with a sparkling wine if you like, before the staff show you to a table inside or outside of your choice, before they take your for tea or coffee and cooked eggs however you wanted them. All the breakfast stands were beautifully presented and again great quality. The hotel has 4 restaurants (Main, Pakka (Indian) & Mura (Italian) or Cyan by the beach viewing the sunset, which will suit all tastes. The hotel and spa offer a plethora of additional activities yoga, spa, cooking classes etc. Or just lounge by the infinity pool overlooking the sea and sunset, or even a beach BBQ. It has a small gym/ fitness centre to suit all workouts. The house resident band that we've heard at a few places in the hotel offer a good range of songs and music. A acoustic pair at the pool bar and a trio in the main bar. Both the women singers have great voices and they all play well together in a soft and gentle way to either listen or dance to. The pool area over looks to sea and again offers great unrestricted views of sunsets on the horizon. This is a long review and it deserves it. We have stayed at many 5 star hotels around the world and we both agree this is one of our best, and would gladly return again. Overall this hotel is outstanding, you can find and stay at cheaper hotels if you want to, but for that bit extra you'll see a world of quality.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Salinda Resort in Vietnam, and I can confidently say that it’s one of the most amazing vacation spots I’ve ever experienced! From the moment I arrived with the pick up from the airport, the stunning natural beauty surrounding the resort took my breath away. Nestled in a lush tropical landscape and overlooking a pristine beach, the views are nothing short of spectacular. The accommodations at Salinda Resort are truly luxurious. My room was spacious, beautifully decorated with traditional Vietnamese elements, and came with a private balcony that offered gorgeous views of the ocean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I enjoyed the modern amenities that blended seamlessly with the resort's charming aesthetic. The resort’s facilities are top-notch. I especially loved the infinity pool that seemed to flow into the sea, creating a perfect spot for relaxation. The wellness spa offered a range of treatments that rejuvenated my body and mind; I highly recommend trying the traditional Vietnamese massage—it was heavenly! Dining at the resort was a delightful experience. The on-site restaurant served a variety of local and international cuisine, all made with fresh ingredients. The breakfast buffet offered an impressive selection, catering to both Western and Asian palates with the opportunity to have sparkling wine to kickstart the day. We made mimosa. What really set Salinda Resort apart, however, was the exceptional service. The staff was genuinely friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was perfect. Whether it was arranging excursions, suggesting local attractions, or simply checking in to see how I was doing, they made my experience feel personalized and special. Overall, our stay at Salinda Resort was nothing short of amazing. It’s the perfect getaway for anyone looking to unwind, explore, and experience the beauty of Vietnam. I can’t wait to return and create more unforgettable memories!

Stayed here for 5 nights in a Seaview room with wife + 2 kids (3+5). One of the best resorts visited so far. Employees very friendly, customer focused and attentive. - the resort is excellently designed, lots of plants, doesn't feel like concrete jungle. - room very spacious, bed is huge, all of us slept in 1 bed. In case you need something (fan replacement, ironing board), you will get it in few minutes. Every evening your room is being prepared for the night and you will find a small gift on your bed. It's the small things which make a difference and overexceed expectations. Good sound insulation towards outside - you don't hear the planes. - pool is nice, surrounded by palms, not too crowded. Service at the pool is excellent. - if you expect some postcard beach, you will be heavily disappointed. The beach is even with a cliff ~1m to reach the water. Water seems not clean. However the pool compensates for it, you just have to be aware of this situation. - breakfast is excellent in quality, I traveled many places all over the world and this one is outstanding. You will be guided to the table, people will bring you coffee, tea. On the table you will find a card to select different egg dishes, once you made your choice the dish will be brought to your table. Excellent solution and avoids queuing. - big thanks to Duang from the kids club. She takes care of the kids and really PLAYS with them, not just making sure they don't kill themselves or watch TV like in most other hotels. The kids really had a great time playing and crafting small things, it was hard to get them out of there. (Small and easy opportunity for improvement @ management: put some water for the kids;)) - gym: you will find everything you need for basic workout. - lots of supermarkets and restaurants in the area

Salinda is a great boutique property but the service falls slightly short of expectations. Pros: Great infra and rooms, pretty beach property, multiple restaurants, great play area and staff, and a nice pool..they have a very diligent pickup drop service. Kids absolutely loved the beach, play area and swimming pool. Cons: Poor check in experience, poor concierge services and very bad experience for special occassions. From a hospitality standpoint they drop the ball from what a 5 star resort generally offers. Few examples: 1. Poor checkin experience - miscommunication between the booking team and reception. Also, leading to the checkin manager or manager at duty, bald Vietnamese guy, to be very rude. He continued to be indifferent and rude and failed to acknowledge with a simple hello for the rest of the trip. Please note, while I tried to he still didn't, and we never got into any verbal volleys he was just rude. 2. Was my wife's 40th birthday, despite making a request there was no decor in the room. Cake was abysmal, have 2 kids and they spat it out, had to return the cake. Have pics as well. 3. Free desserts offered at the high note bar are stale breakfast offerings. There are too many cost saving measures from an f&b standpoint. 4. At one point late at night had asked for a banana for my 3 year old. Staff explicitly denied offering any fruits paid or not paid citing at 10pm they don't have access to any fruits. Had to forcefully order for hot milk. Manageable but again a very poor experience at the cost of 1 banana. 5. When asked for any tour or concierge service, was handed over a pamphlet that was anyways being distributed at the beach as a flyer.

Fantastic resort all around! Wonderful service from airport transfer, reception, room service, beach/pool, and breakfast buffet. We appreciated that the hotel is sustainable, providing glass bottles of filtered water that they replace regularly. The breakfast buffet was fresh and superb, offering a wide spread. But they were also so great with accommodating for food allergies making us delicious egg-free pancakes. I didn’t need sparkling wine with breakfast, but the pianist was lovely. The saltwater pool and beach area were clean and serene. Not great for snorkeling, but they offer kayaks which was great. They offer a few classes each day including yoga, cooking, garden tour, and coffee making. The gym was nice and clean. We didn’t try the karaoke or billiards, but the art work in the hotel and the gallery was fantastic. The room was comfortable and such thought was put into the small details: drying rack on the balcony, a small stool in the shower, and the aromatherapy diffusers in the hallway to ward off the bugs. There is a mini mart nearby, as well as numerous coffee shops, restaurants, and massage places. The night market was only a 12 minute taxi ride. My only complaints are that I needed stronger hair conditioner after being in the saltwater, and the gift shop had a strong moldy smell. But that’s really being nit picky! Salinda is the best resort and I would definitely stay here again!

Everything here has been great. The room is clean and comfortable. Although I initially booked the wrong room type, the receptionist was kind enough to switch it for me. Additionally, the exchange rates for Euros and U.S. dollars are better than at the airport. The receptionists speak English well, making communication easy. Even after I had checked out, the receptionist kindly helped me transport my luggage to a nearby hotel. I was truly amazed. It was such a big help! There are a few minor issues to mention, though they didn’t affect my overall experience. E.g., there were some fruit flies around the salad at breakfast. Additionally, one of the staff gave me a once-over when I asked the scooter parking area. Staff didn’t mention I could request a fresh linen although there was a sign about it, and if I didn’t want to be disturbed, I could hang a white ornament on the door handle. Lastly, during breakfast service, the staff gave inconsistent introductions to the buffet items. Despite my initial low expectations—since the sea view room wasn’t fully ocean-facing, and I only booked here because my original hotel was full for those days—I now regret not staying a few more nights.
