Quite frankly we are a bit dumbfounded by all the glorious reviews. Our experience was quite different.
We stood outside the restaurant while i finished a cigarette. The owner/hostess came outside and removed the menus from the street side podium. Several minutes later, she returned the menus to the podium, went inside and shut the doors. When we entered the restaurant we we ushered to please enjoy the upstairs seating, rather than providing us the option of main floor seating. Was this because we were two men? Unsure. The restaurant was stifling hot, and empty. The owner's/hostess' comment that we can enjoy the sunset from upstairs confused us, as there is one closed window with a palm tree blocking any view.
The owner/hostess brought us our menus, and quite practically stood over us waiting for us to order. We advised we would start with ordering drinks. We ordered 2 Barcardi White Rum. Unbeknownst to us, that was what we were actually getting. 2 glasses of a shot of rum with some ice on the side. No mix. When we asked for a can of Coke, they seemed shocked. Again, this could have been a simple misunderstanding with the menu. No big deal.
As the owner/hostess stood over us again while we read over the menu, we felt extremely rushed to order. We asked to start with the Greek Meatballs "starter" which the menu photo implies comes with pita bread. We also asked to start with the mixed salad. Then we advised for mains, we would have the Pasta Carbonera and the 4 cheese Tagliatelle. The salad arrived quickly and, was tasty, however it consisted of solely way too many diced and baby tomatoes. Not enough cucumber or onions in ratio.
Not even having the chance to finish our starter salad, our pasta dishes arrived very quickly, accompanied by our "starter" meatballs....which rather than thin pita bread, were served as an entire meal of fries, and focaccia. We were astonished, that for an empty restaurant, they could not even time the meal accordingly for two guests to even enjoy their "starters", prior to the main pasta course.!!
The pastas were in fact quite delicious and no complaints there, however the four cheese Tagliatelle was in fact NOT Tagliatelle noodles. It was Spaghetti noodles. The meatballs, however moist, were bland. No taste of salt or spice whatsover.
It should be noted here, that following taking the hovering rush to take our order, the owner/hostess never once again appeared to check up on us.
We were looking forward to trying dessert, however, decided that it did not appear we were very welcomed. When we left the upstairs to pay, we were suprised to see that there were now 4 or 5 tables of other guests. We wonder if they all simply declined the option of a nice sunset view upstairs.
Therefore we regret that our experience here quite differs from so many others and are left to question why. One can draw their own conclusions I suppose.
As any restaurant anywhere in the world is hit or miss, i would say the food here is good and would not dissuade anyone from eating here for that...

We ordered the T-bone steak, grilled chicken skewers, crispy fries, fluffy pita bread, fresh tomato and onion slices, and a bowl of rich, creamy tzatziki. Everything was cooked to perfection and served in generous portions.
The steak was juicy and well-seasoned, with a perfect char, while the chicken skewers were tender and bursting with smoky flavor. The fries were golden and crisp, and the tzatziki was hands down one of the best we’ve had—creamy, fresh, and authentic.
To top it off, the Mr. Dino was incredibly welcoming and even gave us a discount, which was such a kind gesture and made the experience even better.
From the quality of the ingredients to the balanced flavors and the warm hospitality, this spot truly delivered. A fantastic meal that left us impressed and satisfied. Highly recommend for anyone craving hearty and delicious Mediterranean-style cuisine!
-Original review: MEDITERRAN Dual Concept – A Soft Opening with a Memorable Twist
Our visit to MEDITERRAN Dual Concept was nothing short of a delightful surprise. We showed up expecting a soft opening (as advertised on Google Maps), only to find out that the launch had been delayed. As we tried the door, we were warmly greeted by the owner, Dino, who apologized for the oversight and shared that we were the 18th group to come by that day.
But here’s where the magic happened: instead of letting us leave empty-handed, Danio insisted on sharing a taste of his kitchen with us. And what a taste it was!
He served us two dishes that were not only visually stunning but absolutely divine. Caperse Salad with juicy tomatoes, creamy slices of cheese, parsley, and a drizzle of top-tier olive oil, was as fresh and authentic as it gets. The olives added just the right hint of saltiness to elevate the dish without overpowering it.
The real showstopper, though, was the Moscardini Du Crema Di Ceci. Perfectly tender squid rested on a bed of creamy puree, topped with a colorful, zesty mix of diced tomatoes, peppers, and herbs. It was light, fresh, and bursting with Mediterranean charm. Honestly, we’ve never had anything quite like it.
As we savored each bite, we took a look at the menu, which is packed with potential hits. From creamy risottos and wood-fired pizzas to mezze and souvlaki, the lineup promises a mix of Italian and Greek classics that are sure to impress.
Dino and his wife, who were warm and chatty throughout, turned what could have been a disappointing visit into a memorable experience. Their passion for food and hospitality shone through, making us feel like more than just customers – like friends.
MEDITERRAN Dual Concept hasn’t officially opened yet, but it’s already clear this place is going to be a hit. If the soft opening was this good, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the grand debut.
Final Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Bring on the official opening – we’ll be...
Read moreI recently dined at Restaurant Mediterran, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience that beautifully blended Greek and Italian culinary traditions. From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and inviting aromas made me feel like I was about to embark on a true Mediterranean journey. The menu offered an impressive selection of Greek and Italian favorites, making it difficult to choose just one dish. I started with creamy tzatziki and eggplant dip. The freshness of the ingredients was undeniable, and each bite transported me straight to the shores of Greece.
For my main course, I opted for the tagliatelle with prosciutto and funghi , which was an absolute delight. The pasta was cooked to perfection, the sauce was rich and velvety, and the balance of flavors was impeccable. My companion chose the grilled lamb souvlaki , which was juicy, flavorful, and paired beautifully with a side of roasted potatoes and Greek salad.
No Mediterranean meal would be complete without dessert, so we indulged in tiramisu and baklava. The tiramisu was light, creamy, and infused with the perfect amount of espresso, while the baklava had that irresistible crunch, layered with sweet honey and nuts.
Service was attentive and friendly, and the wine selection complemented the dishes wonderfully. Whether you're craving Italian comfort food or Greek classics, Restaurant Mediterran is the perfect spot to satisfy your Mediterranean cravings. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic...
