Sushi Ngư Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Phú Quốc

We went to this place and I most certainly do not recommend it because it is overpriced for the food amount you are getting. I had the salmon and avocado bowl which was a small plate not a bowl, more a toddler meal size, no joke. Not much to say about the taste as it is a basic dish which you can't get worng. We also had the salmon miso soup which initially came without the salmon. Again, the size of the soup bowl was a joke, a tiny tea cup. As well, they kept bringing the wrong food to our table.

Before we ordered they brought to our table a small plate with some nuts and edamame, and two wet tissues. When the bill came we saw that these items were added. I do not appreciate when things like this happen, trying to squeeze out more pennies. You either bring these items as complimentary or don't bring it at all. My partner food came before my food, he was already done when they served me, again a minus from me.

The service felt disorganized, with drinks arriving only after our first dishes—and that too after asking twice. The staff seemed chaotic, and the overall operations need a lot of improvement.

Food: The sushi was good, but not outstanding. The salmon teriyaki and gyoza were average, lacking the quality you’d expect. The karaage, however, was disappointing—extremely fatty with low-quality, greyish meat that was barely edible.

Small restaurant with sticky wooden tables, felt and looks unclean. Two chefs working to serve 4 tables and yet the food takes ages to make and prepare. It is literally sashimi, how long does it take to cut a fish. Not only did it come out 30 minutes after we sat down, we saw other people who had come in after us get their food first. It seems like the chef does not know which order to prioritise first. We ordered 4 portions of salmon nigiri and only two came out. We asked for the remaining and it came out another 20 minutes later. The tempura was alright, lacking in flavour and the dipping sauce that came with it tasted like water.
