Went for dinner at around 7pm. They had 2 floors for the restaurant. The ground floor was mostly for their bar I guess, or they wanted to fill up the 2nd floor first since all their guests were seated upstairs. We were greeted by all staff as you entered, and there were a lot of tables available. Customers coming and going, quite busy restaurant.
As you order, you could ask the staff for their recommendations, and most of the employees could speak English so communication was not a problem. They were all very attentive, friendly, and professional. Every and all requests they attended to as much as they could. At times it made me self conscious knowing that all of them were overlooking your every move, and checking if you needed anything 🤣 (worth the service charge i guess 😅)
Ordered the following: Combo of 2 blue crabs, 500g shrimp, potatoes, corn, green bean sprouts, with sauce of garlic butter and mild spice preference. Really delicious and flavorful. The order was served in a huge metal bowl, and was more than enough for 2 people, maybe even good for 3. There was also an unlimited serving of baguettes that you could even just eat the sauce with it since it was so flavorful.
The waiters offer to open the crabs for you so you dont have to worry about how to properly crack them. They do it so well too, making sure to break the crabs in the right places and just pull out whole pieces of crab meat, such a wonder to watch before you eat.
You are offered a bib, gloves, and the table has a paper mat so you dont have to worry about making a mess 😅 The waiters are also on standby to assist you with any concerns. You feel well taken care of as you have dinner. Really good experience.
Halfway through the bowl, we still had 1 crab and a couple of shrimps, plus the veggies. Its really a lot considering the price, worth it. We had the leftovers for takeaway and ate it the next day, still good 🤣
Japanese oyster. Huge oyster, sold per piece. I think this is a seasonal thing, seasoning varies. This one had soy and garlic/bacon bits I think
It was a miss for this one. The oyster didnt taste too fresh, kinda fishy, the bits on top were not crunchy, kinda tough already. Maybe they were left out in the open. Or maybe im just not used to eating oysters? I dont know. Maybe stick to crabs and shrimps 😅
Overall, an excellent dining experience. Try Crab House if you want good service and delicious seafood. Worth the price,...

If you’re after a very pricy ( even by western standards ) American crab and seafood diner then this is your place.
Was greeted very nicely upon entrance and taken to my table. The waiter took my order and explained a couple of dishes to me to which I decided to go with the mixed seafood basket. I’d ordered a small salad and fries to go with it. Basically everything is deep fried , even the sweet corn which I’ve never seen before. the squid hadn’t been cleaned properly and still had part of its shell inside. There was a severe lack of seasoning, over thick batter and not even a lemon to go with it. The best part of the meal were the fries which were seasoned to perfection.
What annoyed me the most was at the end an additional 10% vat charge and 5% service charge were added to the bill. This was on the side of the menu but at such an obscure angel you couldn’t even see it. I have never seen this before in vietnam. Can’t you just incorporate the whole charge in the initial price and not piss customers off. Increase your prices by 15%, it would have been better.
Anyway, I left full but very disappointed. Total cost for one 488,000 ( £17). When my lovely lunch of bbq pork chop rice cost me 30,000 this puts things in perspective. I was hoping considering the reviews this place would wow me. Maybe I didn’t order correctly or I’ve been spoilt with good food elsewhere.
Albeit a very well designed restaurant and ok service with English speaking staff , but please guys, if you are gonna charge this much in vietnam then make sure your product and service...
Read moreBefore visiting the restaurant, I checked out some reviews on Google and TripAdvisor. There were plenty of good ones, but also a few not-so-great comments. Still, when I saw some of the photos, I decided to give it a try because I really love seafood dishes covered in rich sauces—and honestly, I think I made the right choice.
The food was delicious! The prices were a little higher compared to other restaurants in the area, but the portions were generous and the quality was excellent. They served bread along with the seafood combo, which also came with lots of veggies. I ordered some steamed rice on the side to enjoy with their special sauce, and it paired so well with everything. I left feeling very full and satisfied. Afterwards, I grabbed some pastries from the coffee counter downstairs to take home since I couldn’t eat any more at the table.
The service was also wonderful—friendly and professional. The staff kept the atmosphere calm and private, without any unnecessary noise, and everything was done quickly and smoothly. I was really happy with the experience.
Maybe some of the negative reviews I read earlier were just unlucky experiences, or perhaps the style of the restaurant simply didn’t match those guests’ tastes. But for me, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try—not only for the food, but also for the lovely little souvenirs you can...
