Sapa Fressia Hotel is situated in a beautiful location, just 1.4 km from the city center, 1.2 km from Sapa Station, and 2.8 km from Cat Cat Village. The location is peaceful and serene, making it an ideal place to stay for a relaxing trip. One of the highlights of my stay was the breathtaking view of the mountains from my room's balcony. It was truly mesmerizing and added so much to the overall experience. The hotel also offers a complimentary daily breakfast, which includes a variety of options for vegetarians like fruits, juices, bread, jam, butter, coffee, and other Vietnamese vegetarian dishes. For non-vegetarians, the food options are also excellent. Another great feature of the hotel is its proximity to dining options. Right outside the hotel, you’ll find India Gate Restaurant, just 170 meters away (a 2-minute walk), which is perfect for Indian cuisine lovers. The staff at the hotel are polite and helpful, and they ensure a comfortable stay. However, one minor disappointment was that the complimentary welcome drink was not provided when I arrived. Aside from this, everything else was perfect, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Overall, I would highly recommend Sapa Fressia Hotel for its location, views, food, and hospitality. It’s definitely a place I’d stay at again!

I enjoyed my stay at the freesia hotel very much. I booked it because it was near the drop off area for sapa express. room was spacious with a great view. It's a 10min walk from the city centre and that means that it is relatively quiet. the city centre is very very noisy. We reached before check in time and the receptionist graciously allowed us to check in earlier because there was an available room. He also helped us booked a driver to popular places at a reasonable price. PS the hotel shower takes a little while to warm up, so make sure to give it plenty of encouragement haha.

The hotel has good facilities. It is located 1km from the lake. Sa Pa is a small town so it is comfortable to just walk anywhere in the town. The room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. We can put our luggage after check in. We booked breakfast and it was amazing. They have a good amount of options for the breakfast. Ranging from toast bread to traditional Vietnamese breakfast. With the price, I think it is a very good deal.

We stayed in this hotel as part of a 3 day tour of Sapa. The tour was great but the hotel we stayed in was terrible. It was a great shame as the sister hotel who seemed to organise the tour had great staff, always helpful and friendly and the tour staff were excellent. However, in the Freesia where we stayed our room had black mould under the window, right across the wall. The room was dated and felt damp and it was dirty and had a musty smell. The sheets and towels were grey and felt cold and damp. I wish we'd complained about it whilst there but we arrived late on our first day so we rushed to dinner and were really tired after a long day of travel so didn't realise how bad the room was until almost too late as we had to be up early for the next activity. |Cleaning was very poor. There were strange marks around the sink and the shower leaked over the bathroom floor although, on the plus side, the shower was at least hot. I really felt uncomfortable sleeping or being in the room. We kept everything in bags to keep clothes and items fresh.|On our first night there was some kind of gala dinner on. This involved men shouting very loudly down a microphone. It was far too loud and hurt your ears. There was very loud karaoke and party games which involved people running around the restaurant and screaming whilst other dinners tried to eat their dinners. It was all very odd and unpleasant. We could still hear the noise in our room when we went upstairs even though it was supposed to be a quiet area. So much for a quiet zone.|On the second night we had people running down the corridor and talking and laughing loudly. |The hotel and lift had a strange smell.|The food was awful. For dinner they gave you large portions and the food was hot but I have to say it lacked in quality, it mainly consisted of a large bowl of rice, a plate of veg and a plate of meat with little taste. Very poor for vegetarians. I ate practically the same thing at both dinners. On the first night. I got served a large plate of squid and rice. The people on the same table got spring rolls and a tofu dish as well as their meat dishes. I had to ask if I could have a few pieces of their tofu as I couldn't eat the squid it was too rubbery. Another guest got a fish dish and a meat dish. I'm not sure why there were differences in what we were served. I had said I ate no meat but fish and vegetarian food. So I'm not sure why I only got squid. |Breakfast was equally poor. Tiny glasses for very weak fruit juice. The omelette was swimming in grease and the vegetables uncooked. Lots of dishes contained meat and weren't really suitable for Western tourists. Staff never seemed very friendly or understanding of customer service. In fact this is an area that they really need to improve on. We were hardly spoken to and it seemed staff had no love for the hotel or desire to do a good job. In other hotels we were greeted by staff and asked how things are. This is a leadership issue and the hotel need to work on this. The best institutions and service industries are where staff care for their work and want to do a good job to make their company the best it can be. Look at the details, think about the customer experience. Learn from other hotels and how they do a good job. |I was desperate to leave the hotel and certainly will not recommend it. I allowed for the fact that we are in the mountains , I wasn't expecting the Ritz but I had hoped for a comfortable experience and unfortunately I have ended up ill due to the damp conditions. I have stayed in more hostile and challenging environments and received...

Horrible Smell

(Stay in from April 12, 2024 to April 13, 2024)

During vacation at Sapa I stayed at Freesia Hotel Sapa. When I searched the hotel on search engine, I found out the hotel has tons of negative reviews specifically about the room. Unexpectedly, it way worse than I thought initially.

When I entered the room, damp smell can be smelled by my nose. The smell was very noticeable at every side. Looks like the room had not occupied for certain period of time. The bed cover, pillow, and the blanket had damp smell. When my father gonna to sleep, suddenly the bed collapsed. When my father look more further, it was discovered that the bed wasn't attached with the backrest. The frames also weren't installed properly. My father then call the front office asked help to repair the broken bed. Two woman later came to my room, only to be found they were literally TEEN. Did the hotel employed UNDERAGED LABOR? Despite being underage and had zero understanding on English language, they were really helpful. Later on, I discovered the TV remote was broken. When I pack up the suitcase, loud sound possibly from nearby club or restaurant can be heard clearly at my room. Fortunately, these sound completely gone during late night. There are plenty of electrical sockets, which might be poorly maintained. Two electrical sockets had black spot on the surface, indicating there was (almost) minor burn incident. That's very dangerous for guest. For bedroom, I gave score 2 out of 10.

The bathroom is much better than the bedroom. All things were work properly. The only cons was the awkward position of the sink. For bathroom, I gave score 9 of 10.

Speaking about the breakfast, the staffs on the restaurant were highly discipline in regard of schedule. Guests cannot enter the restaurant until 6.30 AM. Menu wise, the taste was very average. I gave score 7 out of 10.

Accessibility to the hotel was quite difficult. The hotel was situated at higher area than the main road. It need go to uphill to reach the hotel. Not that help the road access was...
