I used to love this breakfast spot when it was kuChisi and was thrilled to see it had moved to a bigger space & more central location. I went with a friend, hoping to catch up and enjoy a great meal, but it was a letdown from the start. We had to constantly get up just to get the attention of a waiter. After a long wait, our food came out wrong, and my omelette was cold. My "tea" was shockingly weak—just hot water with a slice of lemon. When I asked about it, I was told I'd have to pay extra for a teabag. It's a shame because the new space looks good, but the service and food quality are nowhere near what they used to be.. Had been overseas for over a decade & was looking forward to a nice nostalgic experience. I didn’t get it. Cherry on top was the bill delivery. See below

I’ve always been a Haefelis fan and moving to village was a plus for convenience. The food is great and at really good prices. They offer breakfast and lunch meals but their specialty has to be burgers and baguettes. My personal favorite is the chicken and mayo baguette because the steak too always seems a little tough and chewy. The bacon and cheese burger is very great and filling. The only unfortunate incident was the waiter taking too long to bring the bill but other than that I would recommend it for a quick lunch or pop in for their confectionery.

Haefelis is now at the corner end of village walk. Any similarity to its previous iteration ends there. The place is small, crowded and dirty. There service is poor. The food is poorly cooked and takes very very long to come. The staff are overwhelmed and don't understand your order. The manager is very blasé and refused to acknowledge me when I had a change problem with the waiter. This is without a doubt not the Haefelis that we all loved. Gone are there pleasant staff and excellent meals. I will not be going back.

My experiences there, have been that generally the food takes too much time. Today was worse I ordered a meal and after about an hour no order, then I was told it hadn't been made yet, the waiter brought a wrong order at first. I had also ordered a side milk tart and a drink which doesn't need preparation, that still took ages to come, I ended up just paying for the 2 and I left. Kind request, please make sure your kitchen is adequately staffed especially on busy days if that's what causing the delays, it's very bad. This whole mayhem takes away any element of a good...
