I had lunch here. It was not my intent to eat here actually lol, my first choice was closed. So as I was walking around looking for other options, I saw the restaurant and started craving sushi. So the plan was get sushi. However, I wasn’t really impressed by the sushi menu so I opted for a different dish. I ordered the hot pot. I’ve only ever seen it on social media so I wasn’t sure what to expect… especially when I heard that I had to cook it myself. I already knew that part but I didn’t realise to what extent the ingredients would be raw. So it was a bit overwhelming and confusing when I received the dish. In that moment I felt like I needed an instruction manual or something because all the waiter said was that, I just wait for it to boil. It high key felt like I was playing mahumbwe bc there was a lot of trial and error involved… plus a huge mess. The last part is because the pot boiled over. Once I got the hang of the dish, I started enjoying it. My favourite part was the soup. Very flavourful. The meat was okay, but better with the other ingredients in the mix. Overall, I liked the experience but I think the dish would be better with some noodles on the side. Moreover, I think they could have a better selection of non-alcoholic drinks. So maybe adding fruit...

Everything finely crafted and made tastefully. Their sushi menu also includes platters to share and great options for catering large crowds. There’s something for everyone. Their ramen menu also has many options with my favourites being their Spicy braised beef and their black pepper beef udon noodles. Other options are the Beef bibimbap, chicken curry rice and beef tomato soup. Definitely worth trying. You Real caters for everyone having variety in dishes and flavours.

Read moreI absolutely love this place. I, myself am not the hugest fan of seafood, so my first try was mouth watering. For non seafood lovers, like myself, they had great Fried Chicken Wudong Noodles which I have to say was THE BEST meal I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The atmosphere was authentic Japanese, which is a first for me and I loved it. They had a great vibe, everyone was friendly. It didn't take long for the service, which by the way has been the best out of all the restaurants I have tried in Harare. The owner herself was such a pleasure to talk to and to be honest, I will definitely be coming back here and I would recommend it to everyone I know. The drinks were amazing, I have never had a liquorice milkshake anywhere else and this place is going to be my home from home. Stop by You Real at Sam Levy's Village and try it yourself, I bet you won't be...
