Read moreOn Sunday evening we arrived around 8pm and the restraunt was half full. 1.Server took over 20 minutes to come and give the menu and ask for our drinks.
we ordered the drinks and he offered my cousin a bucket of hunters gold and she declined and said she will order as she goes.we put in our meal order when he brought the drinks and this time he disappeared again for another 30 plus minutes and by the time he brought our meal she asked for another drink and was told they had run out..how do you run out of drinks if that's your business?
We ordered a nyama choma platter..the chicken wings were so dry and unchewable , the beef skewers and sausage were cold we dnt even touch the fries and garlic bread which did not look freshly cooked. I was very disappointed to say the least
When the food came we asked for water bowls and they said they ddnt have, we asked for wet wipes they ddnt have asked the waiter so how do we clean our hands they said pls go to the wash room...really in an upmarket location?

Read morePS Borrowdale is a good spot to land on a Monday or Tuesday evening for a meal and a couple of drinks with friends. The service was okay - they were polite and friendly but a bit slow. The place is pretty chilled, with no loud music, which is great if you want to actually have a conversation with the person sitting next to you. *wink
I tried the jollof rice with harissa chicken- a must try! The jollof really does not taste like jollof but it has its own kick to it. I guess there is a Zim version of it then🤣 Chicken was really good (juicy and well seasoned) and so were the roasted veggies hidden under the green salad🤔 (....yea I dunno🤣) The drinks list is also pretty limited after 4pm (ie they only want to sell booze so forget about the milkshakes...
