RocoMamas Borrowdale — Restaurant in Harare

RocoMamas Borrowdale is a very nice place to choose especially for burger-lovers. Once you have a smashburger it's hard to revert back to the ordinary type. You might want to opt for indoor seating especially during peak hour evenings to avoid the movement of the drive-through close by. We had a friendly waiter who ensured we were comfortable and took us through the various menu options and how to place our order on the order form (first timers here). We particularly liked the customisable burger (great for picky eaters like myself) and within about 10 minutes, our order was ready.

The burger was yummy, though my only concern was the caramelised onions which I found very sweet and not the best contrast with the hair other savoury ingredients. I also was a bit disappointed with the cheese sauce for the cheese-loaded fries as it had a grainy texture (tasted better when I had it the following day though) but what is food when you don't try out the different options. RocoMamas meal portions are pretty large so you'll most likely pack for the road. Your bill will also be on the higher side (especially if you are not a Harare local) but it's all worth the experience.

Hi u'all I was at Roco Mama's about 2 week's ago.

I 💕 the general atmosphere there, as there's alot to grab your attention.

They have a bit of a weird takeaway ordering System, with like a kinda tear away A5 menu where your (Waitress) "I had a lady serve me," anyhoo all was good but looked like a thousand choice's were available. I forgot my Glasses 🤓 in the car.. it felt kinda rushed.

There were old menu papers laying all over the table that needed a clean up. The Staff we're lined up by the counter right in front of me. Not too sure what they were waiting for..

My burger came after about 15min the lady was pretty helpful can't fault the service. Went to my 🚗 I was famished it was actually guite nice lots of flavour. Thanku guy's.

Does anyone else feel that when they buy takeaway the portions seem smaller then if u actually sit at an establishment... Hahahahaha 😂🤣 it...

Best burgers in town, check. Went to rocomamas during the evening and wow I'll start with the view. It's located at a strategic place where if you sit on their outside seats you'll just get an out of Zimbabwe nice going vibe and view there. The food was exceptional. They have some great burger deals and they do not disappoint. The cocktails where also, although a bit strong, totally delicious and generous. The one thing that did not really meet standard was customer service. The waitress who received us and gave us the menus left us for 10 minutes unattended and we really never spoke to her again despite her running around and serving those around us. We had to call on another waiter and explain the situation. But once we got the new waiter, he was fast, attentive and efficient and everything went really well. A place definitely...
