El Imparcial — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

I got a recommendation for this restaurant, so I went there. The service was very friendly and attentive. First, you get a homemade empanada, which is very tasty. The bread baked in-house was extremely good. I particularly recommend the olive oil and salt. Just don't eat too much, because it's a little addictive and you won't be hungry afterwards. I ordered a mixed salad as a starter and then pasta with mussels. The mussels were fresh, but unfortunately poorly washed, so you kept getting sand between your teeth. My recommendation is to simply wash them thoroughly. The pasta was served in the sauce and was obviously pre-cooked until too soft, so unfortunately it wasn't al dente. Bueno, qué decir, hay que ver las review negativas para darse cuenta en que coinciden. La verdad que la comida esta buena y precio entre moderado y alto, por eso la estrella, aunque te cobren "servicio de mesa" de antemano, por lo que uno no tiene oportunidad de decidir en brindar una buena propina si es merecida. El arroz estaba rico, duro, pero rico de gusto. Lamentamos profundamente no haber revisado las valoraciones en Google maps como hacemos siempre antes de entrar a un lugar a comer ya que las valoraciones negativas tienen mucho que ver con lo que nos sucedió a nosotros y a varias mesas. Hasta terminar de cenar ibamos bien y rápidamente te levantan los platos, te dejan manso como para seguir conversando hasta que despues de 10' te arriman sutilmente sin preguntar la carta para que elijas postre poco más que por obligación, supongo. Nosotros sólo queriamos cenar e irnos pero se ve que el restoran mas antiguo de buenos aires quiere que te vuelvas antiguo con ellos en la espera para pagar. Le pido al mozo sutilmente que me gustaría pagar la cuenta y me responde el mozo que "ya me la trae", pasan 10' reloj más y le pregunto a OTRO mozo por la cuenta y pasan 10' MÁS y mi novia se levanta y pide la cuenta en la caja y le responden que "ya se la mandan" y pasan otros 10'!!!! Después LE PIDO POR FAVOR AL MOZO QUE ME TRAIGA LA CUENTA PORQUE ME ENCANTARÍA PAGAR E IRME A DORMIR. HACIENDO UN TOTAL DE 30' DE ESPERA PARA PAGAR, aparece otro mozo jovencito con el aparato para pagar y me pide mil disculpas, pagamos y nos fuimos. No entiendo el desfile de mozos incoherente y al pedo de pasear copas mojadas de un lado para el otro continuamente sin mirar a las mesas esperando les pidas más para gastar.
