Archie Brothers Rundle Place — Attraction in Adelaide

I was hoping Archie Bros would have been a bit better than what I experienced. I'll first go through some of the things I like which first off the venue itself has a nice circus artstyle which is really nice to look at. The bowling lanes are really good, you can easily get a few rounds in and the menu is very unique but familiar at the same time. Now I'm gonna just say that there's a lot of things this place needs to improve on. Firstly the arcade machines. Currently there's almost no variety with a bunch of claw machines, racer's and four ticket redemption games. Why is this bad? Because the only arcade game that's actually new and working is Asphalt 9 arcade, and there's also No Rhythm Games at all even though on FB they've said they would have Stepmaniax I don't see it anywhere and Bop it Arcade is another game that is nowhere to be seen, that's complete false advertising to guarantee games but not deliver. Next is the prize selection which is unique but unfortunately I've seen better at Timezone and Kingpin and the only good prizes have a high ticket price and with almost no machines are impossible to reach. Also regarding this the Super Star redemption game is impossible to win since even if it's ready to cash it won't give you your prize since the back barrier for the prizes aren't installed so yeah it's a scam right now even trying to win anything. I'm not talking about hijinx hotel since I've yet to try it and in my opinion might be more worth your time, so overall this is really disappointing right now. you're currently better off going to Timezone or Holey Moley nearby and I don't recommend going unless you're there for...

Time Zone is better. We saw the $35 fun pass advertised with 1 hour of arcade games, and two games of either bowling, golf or laser tags. Adelaide only has bowling, but they tell you, they can’t sell you the pass as they can’t honour the two games of bowling as they are too busy. If you book at the kiosk you can select two games of bowling with many times available. They basically, don’t want to sell you this discounted pass, so you are forced to pay full price. The arcades games have a small variety compared to Time Zone Port Road. One of the push the clown game is literally 18 seconds long, for $2.70. A total rip off. With the fun pass, you earn points but can’t redeem them. Is this company so cheap, they will not let you redeem for a small plastic toy or some lollies. The bowling is great, you can add bumpers to each individual player. This is a no service establishment. The staff do not want to talk to you. No one is there to help get your shoes or bowling ball. No staff remove the left over bowling balls on the lanes. They want you to check in online and wait for a txt to go to your lane. Once bowling is down, the scores are removed so quickly, you don’t have a chance to look how the game went. One staff member was quite rude and fits the company ethos of zero customer service. Me and my work mates went here recently as a mid year catchup. We really enjoyed the adventures room and found them very engaging. Afterwards, we had three round of bowling games booked and were super keen to bowl and have some cocktails. We were let in late to our adventure rooms starting at 7:30 (but more like 7:45 for us) so we got let out late which meant we started our game of bowling late (it was supposed to be at 9:00 but more like 9:15). Unfortunately, we were only allowed to play one game of bowling before one of the male staff came up to us telling us to abruptly end our game due to going over the allocated time. We let him know we got let out late and had paid for two more games. He put his foot down and said there was another group waiting and that we’d have to finish. He gave all of my teams a “free bowling pass” for next time… my coworkers and I then proceeded to wait around for the next 20 minutes chatting and going to the toilets. We looked over and NO ONE had come to use the bowling lanes which made me extremely frustrated that we were made to finish so abruptly!
