Fox Creek Wines — Attraction in Adelaide

We visited this Fox Creek as part of a bridal wine tour on the weekend. The entry into the winery was beautiful this time of the year, with blooming trees and lush greenery along the creek. The garden was beautifully done and make for great photos and the cottage was quite cute. It was a beautiful day so we were glad to be sat outside in their verandah. We went through their wine tastings, and was offered 2 different flights, with some of us choosing the reds over the whites. The white wines were unfortunately quite dull, not to most of the group's liking, though the reds were beautiful. Their food platters were fantastic too, with some great cheeses, dried fruits and cured meats. Unfortunately what really detracted from the experience was the passive aggressive nature of the staff member serving us. Can’t say I would recommend. I have a suspicion new ownership as previously we would have highly rated it. Made a booking both online and phone and assured that someone would be in contact to sort out food options for our function. This never occurred. It took days of phone calls and emails and voice mails before I managed a response. A response letting me know I don’t have a booking.but they would try and accomodate.Mind you now with two days to go before my birthday function I had to struggle to find an alternative place as no one got back to me again. I sent an email to the owner explaining my dissatisfaction and disappointment that her staff fail to communicate effectively and how we have had functions there in the past and had great experiences. But now completely unhappy. Yet no acknowledgment of my email or booking. If this is how they feel they will run, it’s sad as it’s a beautiful venue just...

For my 40th birthday, I rented a limo to take a few friends to McLaren Vale to sample some wines. The first stop of the day was Fox Creek Wines. The platters I organized ahead of time were BEAUTIFUL and so delicious. My friends were completely impressed. I loved that we had our own little area in the verandah overlooking the garden and it was beautifully set up for us. And, don't even get me started on the wines! They were fantastic (which I already knew)! The lovely lady that lead our wine tasting was knowledgeable, friendly and kept us in our allotted time frame. It was perfectly timed. It felt relaxed yet we got to try a good selection of your wines. A lot of my guests were saying that they would definitely purchase the wines after tasting them. I know I will be!
