Bought seafood basket and fish and chips with salt and vinegar. Left with order to eat on beach. No salt and vinegar. Went back and explained no salt and vinegar. Owner asked if we were sure? Yes we were, owner checked our order for salt and vinegar and then we were told we had to order it. Replied we had ordered it. He then said, well you can put it on yourself, there are condiments on the end of bench. Then accused my friend of talking down to him. We were unable to get a word in as we tried to defend ourselves and the lady owner then pointed to door and screamed "out!, leave now". We left. The fish would not hold its batter. The crab sticks were limp soft nothing's and the chips, prawns and squid rings were completely tasteless. The owner could have prevented the entire episode by accepting there was no salt and vinegar as we had said, apologised and pointed us to the salt and vinegar. But he argued the toss, then accused my friend of threatening him, causing his wife to join the fray and in Hitler style, order us out. It was quite funny really. But sadly, there will be many people who will never enter...
Read moreTo my disappointment, onThursday last I purchased a meal of snapper, whiting with chips from Jurien Bay Seafoods. After eating some we binned the rest. On Monday after she had suffered three days of severe diahorrea and stomach cramps I took my wife to Mandurah hospital where she was diagnosed with food poisoning. I personally attribute my wifes food poisoning event to the foul tasting whiting which she alone eat. My recommendation is that this business be avoided and you would be better off to make yourself a vegemite sandwich as suggested be a...
Read moreYeah look it was only a quick stop in on our way to Leeman (even though I'd rather stay in Jurien) so didn't have much time but man was I bloody impressed. When I walked in I could tell Bill the owner (guessing his name?) was running a down to earth, home grown, locally sourced small business. Even though covid has damaged small businesses around WA Bill and his fish chip shop seemed to be thriving. Just by taking a quick look at his head I can tell he's been deep sea fishing and that's speaks volumes when it comes to reliability. To top it off there was a massive lobster on the wall so me and my buddies got a photo for our up north trip highlights, so it's safe to say our trip started off with a bang....
