Roma St station is currently undergoing a significant renovation, which has made the entrance less obvious compared to its previous state. Despite this, the station remains incredibly convenient in Brisbane, serving as the central hub of the Southeast Queensland railway system. It offers direct train services to various destinations without the need for transfers.

However, I must admit that I have some reservations about the station's interior design, which is the reason behind my three-star rating. As a city chosen to host the 2032 Olympics, I expected a more modern and visually appealing station. Unfortunately, the majority of the station's infrastructure gives off a vibe more commonly associated with railway stations in the global south. I hope that as part of the renovation, they not only focus on improving the entrance but also revamp the platforms to reflect the city's status as a global destination.

Another aspect that detracts from my overall experience is the limited food options available. Previously, there was a McDonald's located on the second floor of the station. However, it has been replaced by self-service food vending machines, offering a less satisfying dining experience. I believe that having a diverse range of food choices within the station would greatly enhance the overall convenience and comfort for commuters and travelers passing through.

Despite these drawbacks, it is important to acknowledge that Roma St station remains a crucial transportation hub in Brisbane, connecting passengers to various destinations seamlessly. Once the renovation is complete, I hope to see improvements not only in the station's entrance but also in its overall aesthetic and amenities. With careful consideration of the city's status and the needs of commuters, I believe that Roma St station can become a truly impressive transportation hub worthy of its role in Southeast Queensland's...

Staff are amazing. Very well run place, extremely busy, go early if you aren't a regular

All lifts are working

They need to put a cofee machine in please?

Greyhound bus is at the 'Coach Station Brisbane' outside platform 10 Walk the length of the concourse to reach the Coach station where taxi drivers can pick you up easily in pick up bays

Toilets are halfway through that main concourse, clean

Very safe environment. Staff are kind, patient and helpful

Great job but we need coffee please in a machine

You should use a disability ridr on service for the length of the concourse for imfirm and disabled or a moving belt to carry people along, do it in 3 sections so people can exit for different platforms

LAX has rides for disabled and moving walkways

It would be much safer with these additions because slower pedestrians csuse able bodied that can move quicker to be hampered by congestion of slower moving passengers or people passing through Roma...

Helpful staff, but station policy towards customers needs to improve. It is presently necessary to park on Parkland Boulevard when meeting long distance trains. The XPT from Sydney arrives at 3.53am. I was greeted by locked doors at the platform 10 entry 12 minutes before arrival time. So, I had to rush around the road to the main entry, only to find it locked too! Finally, the door opened at 3.52am. By running up the travelator, I reached platform 2 as the train entered. I was ill from rushing. People were standing or sitting on the foyer floor with luggage waiting for opening. There were no signs regards opening...

Roma Street railway station is a commuter and long-distance passenger train station located in the central business district of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is the junction station for the North Coast, Main, Gold Coast and NSW North Coast lines. The station is one of four inner city stations that form a core corridor through the centre of Brisbane. Roma Street station is served by all suburban and interurban City network lines. It is also the terminus station for long-distance Traveltrain services and NSW TrainLink's service to Sydney.
