Frescos Restaurant — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Dined 03/01/2025. We visited the restaurant today to celebrate a birthday, but thanks to the staff member Juliana’s unbelievably rude attitude, the whole experience was ruined. Casey, on the other hand, was amazing—friendly, polite, and always smiling. When we asked if our cake could be stored in the fridge, Casey happily agreed and made us feel welcomed.

Then came Juliana. After finishing our main course, we politely asked for a takeaway container, only to be met with, “Are you staying with us?” followed by, “We can’t provide a container,” in the coldest tone imaginable. No apology, no explanation—just outright dismissal. Are we supposed to feel like we owe her something just for asking a simple question? This is how a customer is treated here?

And it didn’t stop there. Juliana’s attitude toward us was consistently poor. She gave us unpleasant looks, and when clearing our plates, her actions were loud and aggressive, making it obvious that she didn’t want to serve us. To make things worse, she was smiling and polite with other customers but treated us like we were beneath her. Did we do something to offend her? Or does she just enjoy making customers feel unwelcome?

We came to the restaurant with happy hearts to celebrate a birthday, only to leave feeling disappointed and disrespected. I strongly suggest the management reevaluate whether Juliana possesses the qualities required for customer service. From what we experienced, she clearly lacks the professionalism and basic decency required...

Stayed at the hotel and went to Frescos for dinner, had the whole room to ourselves, guess it must have been a quiet night, my wife had the dinner special 2 courses plus a drink and a side, we ordered the king prawns, side of greens 300 gram Wagyu rump and slow cooked lamb shoulder, the prawns were delicious, lots of flavour and nice charred finish, good serving size , the Wagyu rump was perfect for my liking, tasty and tender, the lamb shoulder, we got the half, was huge, probably enough for 2 people to share, melt in the mouth and lovely fatty lamb flavour, greens were nicely cooked and well seasoned, excellent dinner and a great way to finish off my birthday... thanks...

Honestly was pretty disappointed with our visit. We had the set menu and aside from the mains (Lamb) it was all very subpar for the price. Entree was a cheese pizza which was worse than ones I've had from the freezer and dessert was stale cakes which seemed to be Coles sponge cakes with a bit of extra icing on top.

We also asked if we could avoid the seafood portions of the set menu (normally a fine ask) but were apologetically told no.

The only redeeming part was the lamb which was admittedly pretty good. Overall would not be...
