The bundaburg rsl/ Services Club is a place of nice music and wonderful workers as well as good prices for their food and services, unlike other establishments. The drinks were well made, and the bar workers were quick and efficient in their work. The woman behind the counter was wonderful and fast at taking orders. The view from the windows out the back had a gorgeous view. However, the plastic plants added to the look from upstairs near the bar but took the nice view from below and made them look out of place aswell as they are strict on their clothing policyno open shoes, thongs and no torn or dirty clothing.
Ok, now for the important part, about 10- 20 minutes after i ordered the food arrived at my table, the food I had, steak, chips, vegetables, and a breadroll. The steak was amazing and flavourful, but 400g. The chips were bland then with salt turned from bland to impressive the odd thing, not much of a salt flavour after adding salt. The breadroll was well a bread roll it was cold but cooked and the butter was actually solid instead of liquid so plus points for that and finally the vegetables, sweet potato, pumpkin, carrot not as nice as the other food but healthy. Overall +1 services/ how nice and easy employees were to talk to. +1 food +1 efficiency/ speed of service +1 drinks +0.5 decorations Can 100% recommend coming here for...

Bingo can be fun however in most recent times very disappointing experiences. While Bingo can be a serious activity for some people, there are also families out there who just want a little bit of fun and excitement. Today, my 5 year old was given a spoken to because she got a little bit excited when she had 1 number to go. This apparently caused lots of dismay for some guests and at half time a female bingo attendant had to personally speak to our 5 year old. This led to our 5 year old to be very emotional. Yes there are bingo rules, however this situation could have been handled a little differently. In hindsight, some polite bedside manners directed at the parents so they could have discussed this with the 5 year old to help her understand. The guests at our table were very shocked at this behavior towards a 5 year old and had stated that they could hardly hear her and she was just excited when she had 1 number to go. On many bingo sessions including today, I often here other patrons whispering/discussing there last number to go. I had brought this to the attention of the bingo workers and the female attendant had stated to me that the 5 year old was talking during the games however this was undeniably not the...
Read moreA very pleasant atmosphere and outlook to the Burnett River and just one street away from the main street of Bundaberg.
Even on Tuesday, the restaurant was quite busy. The menu was mostly standard fare for a service club, but the food was perhaps a cut above many. The plates were large and filled with ample food.
There is a reasonably well stocked bar, but again, nothing unususal or truly outstanding. However, if you need a drink, you will not go thirsty.
Overall, the staff were pleasant. The Reception staff were easygoing and helpful. They were just as cheery on departure and sought the custom again. The bar fellow had a friendly manner and had a joke at his own expense and was eager to please. Michelle at the meal ordering point was bright and happy and very welcoming. She had an engaging manner and gave a sense of arelaxed demeanour, but great service. She also helped with clearing the plates and was chatty and nice to all.
My only criticism is that this is often the case at service clubs in general. They seem to collectively decide that dessert is not a worthwhile pursuit. Rarely do they offer more some tired "coffee and cake" routine. Bundaberg was no different.
However, on the whole, this is a good club experience. I would happily...
