We were celebrating by having an anniversary breakfast. We put in our orders and paid. When they brought our food they had left the salmon from my wife's breakfast. No big deal, we told the staff of the error they made, thinking it would be any easy fix. We had almost finished our breakfasts when one staff member came and stated we did not order the salmon, we explained we had, she walked away throwing her eyes up. A few minutes later the staff member that served us came and told us we did not order the salmon, we explained that we did, we had even showed her the image on the menu of what we wanted to order, pictured with the salmon. She told us that we had made the mistake, as we did not check the order on the cashiers screen, something I did not even see. She stated we could have the salmon for an extra $3, we had finished our breakfast at this stage and stated that we were not happy with the customer service and we wanted a name to put a complaint with the owner. The manager, Teresa arrived, with even less customer service skills than the first two staff, she again stated that we had not ordered the salmon, this just annoyed us more. We asked for the staff members name and Teresa was quick to throw her staff under the bus stating it was Ella that served us, rather than apologising and trying to resolve the situation. We have eaten in many Dome Cafes, and Albany Dome has to be the worst. I would highly recommend some customer service training as this franchise will continue to...
Read moreI like dome, the staff and mostly always nice and its a lovely place to enjoy company but im fed up with all the messing around. The waffles have clumps of sugar in them, we used to get chips all the time and we usually asked for sweet chilli and sour cream and sometimes we dont get given the sour cream or they forget the sweet chilli and give us tomato sauce and the iced coffees and iced chocolates are mostly always too strong, i couldnt drink my iced chocolate last week because it was so strong and this week we ordered 2 iced coffees and a hot chocolate in a mug but the first issue was the person at the counter didnt know how to do it in a mug so they had to use a takeaway cup instead and then we were at the table at we got given a iced coffee and iced chocolate and we assumed they mixed up the hot chocolate with iced chocolate but noo i went over to ask were the iced coffee was because i gave up and started drinking the iced chocolate and the real problem was they gave us iced chocolate instead of iced coffee and the hot chocolate was still coming after waiting a while and then we got the hot chocolate and it was soo hot it burt my tounge and its still sensitive since yesterday morning and i put ice in it and it was still super hot and i just wanted to go shopping and leave it there but i put it in a empty iced chocolate glass and it was only just cool enough to drink and i didnt really want to drink it anymore because my tounge was sore..the scones are...
Read moreIts with a heavy heart i give this cafe a 2 star rating. To start with my partner and I bought a meal each and a dessert. The waiter bought out our desserts before our main meals, when asked if we were able to hold off on our desserts until mains were finished, he stood there puzzled and then walked away with our desserts. Although it wasn't explicitly mentioned to the waiters is it not common sense to bring dessert out after a main course? Food was bellow average, both my partner and i food was over cooked. I know this isnt a 5 star restaurant but chips were burnt, burger bun wasn't not 'lightly toasted' but burnt. After finishing main meals and having plates taken away, we proceeded to wait for our desserts to be re-bought back out. 20 minutes of waiting my partner got up to go and enquire about the whereabouts of the dessert. The lady behind the counter looked at him when he asked if we could get the dessert back out and said in a rude and arrogant tone "you have to come up and ask for your desserts." I have worked in hospitality for 10 years and never have i heard of walking up to the counter to ask for desserts to come back out to us. The quality of hospitality service in this cafe was really...
