Reggie was on the road again, third time to... RAC Cervantes Holiday Park! 📍 Location & Check-in 🚗 Distance: 2hr 10min North of Perth CBD 📚 Check-in: 2 Option - Online or at the Desk. Desk was a quick 5 mins process, sign the ipad and done. 🕐 In: 2pm for sites & cabins ⏰️ Out: 10am for sites & cabins 🏕 Amenities Check 🛁 Toilets & Showers: 2 blocks to choose from. Both very modern, well kept and lots of toilets and showers available. Loved the rain heads with good water pressure and temperatures. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Room: The BEST family room I have ever seen. Massive room, large bench, bench top baby bath, full size bath tub and mini toilet. 🍳 Camp Kitchen: WOW it's like a commercial kitchen. Very large cooking and sitting space. Everything you need, fridges, microwaves, kettle's the works and they supply washing up soap. 🪁Kids Fun Factor: Swimming pool, playground, grassed areas, recreation room (ping pong table, pool table, TV & books) peddle cars, big playground right outside the caravan park. 🍩 Coffee & Nearby Cafés ☕️ Onsite Coffee Van: Onsite Cafe 8:30 - 11am & 11:30am - 2pm 🧁 Closest Cafe/Food Spot: Onsite Cafe in the reception area coffee, breakfast and lunch. Ice cream cabinet and drinks fridge 🏭 Cervantes Township (walking distance) Very basic general store, pubs & The Lobster Shack. Jurien Bay - 15 minute drive! Has everything you need and very pretty town. 🏠 Accommodation Options ⛺️ Cabins, Powered and Non-Powered concrete or grassed sites available 💰 Pricing 💲We paid $105.70 for 3 nights on a powered site (winter special for RAC members) We stayed an extra night for $40 2 Adults + 1 Child + 1 Infant & 2 Dogs. 🐾 Pet-Friendly 🐶 Dogs Allowed: On leash at all times. 🗣 Heads Up! 👷‍♂️ Workers: Some workers weren't very friendly. 🏊‍♀️ Pool: It was absolutely freezing 🏖 Beach: The beach out the front was filled with seaweed and stuck. (Thirsty Point Lookout - way better beach) 🌅 Sunsets: You need to watch the sunsets they are very Pretty 🦞 The Lobster Shack: Walking distance, Beautiful setting, playground, tours, beers and fresh sea food 🎣 Fishing: Can walk to the jetty and chuck a line in (we only caught puffer fish) but the little fella loved it! 🚐 Would We Bring Reggie Back? Absolutely / Yes / Maybe / No ✅ Absolutely! It's a great spot, sunsets are amazing, facilities are amazing, The Club is walking distance (good beers, food, cubby house and dog friendly). Nice beach close by and just a really relaxed chill vibe! We are writing reviews on every place we stay. If you would like to follow along give us a follow on instagram @aadriannaconnor.

What a terrible experience we had at this park. We arrived at our site, no. 83, the sprinkler was on in the patch of dirt we were to park on, making a boggy hole. We have a motorhome and had limited space to park where it was flat. We were trying to wriggle our way & it just wasn’t working out. So off I went to the office to see if we could change sites or at least have some matting to help with the dirt/slash mud issue… I was told to try no. 85, that was worse as there were so many lumps & bumps… so off to the office again & told the receptionist that we would stay on our original site, and I asked if the site we were in was in the overflow section, she said no, but the site is up for maintenance! I asked if we were paying the same price as the level sites, with matting, & some grass… she said yes! My husband went to the reception as he was having a hard time trying to get the motorhome on a level surface, he was told that the maintenance man will be there with to assess the situation - he never came… so off to the reception AGAIN & my husband asked if he could borrow a shovel & rake so he could fix the problem himself.. the receptionist ‘promised’ that she would be there in 20 minutes, never happened. By chance another patron was kind enough to lend us his shovel. The receptionist finally came down with a rake for my husband to use. I went to the office to see if there were any Cervantes car stickers, the girl did not know, just so happened that a male staff member came out & was asked the question… he looked at me dead in the eye & growled “no”. So much for customer service. It was a nightmare from start to finish. We had a group of families behind us… kids walking through our site, kicking balls around at night. The parents were noisy well after the 10pm quiet time. I really do doubt that anyone monitors the park rules. Another person reviewed that the facilities over near the cabin section was so much better.. and they were 100% correct. Beautiful gardens, huge games room, huge camp kitchen, awesome play area for kids… Our side of the park was simply horrible. Give this park a miss if you are looking for a peaceful place to spend your time in Cervantes. Head for Jurien Bay instead.

Stayed 3 nights at what was supposed to be a grassed site but ended up to be all rocks and sand (see pics). Mentioned prior that we have a large tent and 2 cars. Could barely fit the tent, a small gazebo and a car in the tight allocated spot as we were on a corner site by the road and there was a driveway entrance for others to access their site so putting anything else in our spot would have blocked the access way. No room to tie down guy ropes at the back of the site so had to wrap around the boundary bollards instead, as do your neighbours tents which in the end are almost touching each other. Requested from reception that we want to move as it's nothing we expected compared to the photos and description from the website. Staff said the park was full although there appeared to be plenty of empty sites and people were still coming in. Mentioned this and they just repeated that the park was full. Pool was good but other facilities were not so great. The 2 BBQ's by the pool took forever to work. Says don't cook while red light is flashing but shouldn't take more than 15mins to go solid green. Ended up taking an hour to cook our food. Cold shower, no hot water on the last day just prior to check out. Was glad to get out of there. Stayed at several RAC caravan parks around WA before at tent sites, chalets / cabins which were all fantastic but this was so far from that — quite unusual for parks run by RAC.

This was our second year coming to Rac Cervantes and from the last time this place has gone down hill fast. ||Last time was great easy booking, drive through site, ladies in office were great this time however it was a disappointing experience from the get go. From calling to see what site we had last year (as we wanted the same ones to drive through) to booking & confirming the details they stuffed up the dates for my friend then I called back and was told she had to call even though I made the orginal booking.. to then being told " ohh those dates arnt available on that site as we have a group booking.||When we arrived and had to go in the office as our "online check in wasnt processed (completed a day prior) as she had been busy on the phone" and being told bluntly do not drive through its not a drive through (but when I booked i said this is the reason we wanted this site) the younger lady in reception was polite but im guessing the older lady is perhaps the one I also got on the phone who was not very friendly when booking (i know should have bailed then but i actually really enjoyed my birthday there lasy year and wanted to do it again as they do have great facilities and it was a very chilled place.)||We went back into the office after arriving to see if we could park our van the other way(only a dirt road behind us "emergency access" which we wouldn't have been blocking at all we just would have been faced the different way so we could have the annex out to sit in and enjoy with our friends the older lady piped in "apparently went out and asked management" to which we later found out went even on site".||Another car and van turned up only to be parked right in the way of the "emergency extit" gate) ||Completely unhelpful and rude!||Reception is the face of your business how you get treated from arrival it makes all the difference to your stay and due to this which was not only recieved by myself but the person checking in prior to me and also my friend who arrived moments after us we will not be returning and I will not suggesting this place to anyone else who asks as I have done based on our last visit. ||Amenities were clean and facilities were clean however there is a pathway that leads around the pool that needs addressing as there has been movement in thr path and there is a lip which is dangerous tripping hazard whoch we both...
