Westfield Belconnen is a large, modern shopping center located in the Belconnen area of Canberra, Australia. It is an ideal destination for those who love shopping, dining, and entertainment. With a wide variety of stores, from famous international brands to local shops, Westfield Belconnen caters to all shopping needs. You can find fashion items, cosmetics, household goods, electronics, and much more. Notably, the center also hosts large supermarkets like Coles and Aldi, making daily shopping more convenient. Westfield Belconnen has all your typical chain stores as well as some unique shops specific to Westfield Belconnen. Although the shopping mall had been here for a pretty long time and therefore elements of the building are showing signs of aging, there have been upgrades and refurbishments throughout various sections of the mall including the common seating area on level two outside Aldi and the fruit and veg shop. The new addition of Daiso in Belconnen mall has been a welcome addition being the first Daiso store in Canberra. One tiny improvement though is the toilets near the entrance next to Woolies. For some reason it's such a strong smell around there... maybe something that's used to clean the toilets? Would be great if the smell wasn't so strong each time you walk in that hallway.

2nd best shopping center in Canberra. Sometimes gets super busy but on public holidays it's usually almost completely empty. Has all the retail stores and tech stores and whatever. Basically everything. The food court is quite large and has all the fast food shops I can think of. Bus stop just outside. Edit: I've changed the rating from 5 to 3 because recently I've had several issues in or around the mall regarding the rising derro population in the area. A piece of advice for people like me: don't put the first one in their place because then you have to put all of his friends in their places too. Dont get me wrong the actual shopping centre isn't bad, just the scumbags that hang around it.

I've been a long time customer and visited the Westfield Belconnen many times over the past 25 years. The parking was free to public after 6:00pm. I am now told that the policy was changed sometimes last year and the benefit now available to Westfield plus members only. I was unaware of this new policy and as a result I overstayed by about 30mins and was charged $7.00. I called the parking staff via buzzer who advised me of this change of policy in relation to after 6pm free parking. I then joined the membership and informed the parking staff. However, I was still charged the late fee.

The parking staff informed me that the new policy is displayed at the entrance. C'mon, do you really expect the public to stop at the entrance gate every time to read the lengthy terms & conditions to become aware of the changes to parking policy! Is this practical or even acceptable to block the traffic to read all the fine print?

They also made me wait at the parking lot for a lengthy period for the security guard to arrive and my family was also in the car in the cold Canberra weather. Top notch customer service, isn't it!

How greedy & dubious is that! Very unethical business practice and appalling customer service. The staff insisted me on paying the late fee despite I told them that I had just joined the membership via their app. I am now having a second thought about associating myself with such business and considering relinquishing my Westfield plus membership.

Update 11/06/2021: Received a call from Westfield Customer experience who offered an apology for the incident. No compensation was provided except an offer to refund the $7 parking fee...

"Belco Mall" as many of the locals call this place, is a great place to shop in Canberra. Stopped in recently to take respite from the Canberra cold and ended up here for hours. There's a huge range of stores from small specialty through to major department stores. With Myer, Kmart, Target, Aldi, Coles, Woolworths, Rebel, Best & Less, all under one roof and several hundred small stores, Hoyts, restaurants & cafes, its easy to see why I lost most of my day here wandering about. Looking about there's a wide variety of people shopping here, so it obviously meets the needs of the local area really well. There's food spread well throughout the centre, from small kiosks to cafes and restaurants, plus the usual food court style though at least it has some variety and not just all the big food chains. Parking is busy, but you'd expect that at a popular place like this. First two hours is free and its ticketless parking so makes entry and exit pretty easy. Had seen a few reviews on other sites where people complain about it being busy, but I guess if you always head for the most popular spaces then you can expect to wait! There's a system to point you toward the available bays so, follow that and it's easy (hint - rooftop whilst not covered is the easiest to find a...
