Caffe Cherry Beans Belconnen — Restaurant in District of Belconnen

Horrible place. Took forever for the food to come and when it did, it was the most disgusting wet soggy excuse for a chicken burger I've ever seen. The burger was literally wet, pineapple on it wasn't cooked plus there was basically an entire bottle worth of sweet chilli sauce, all I could taste was chilli and wet bread. Only edible part was the tiny portion of chips lol (thank goodness or I would have gone hungry) . I am not a fussy eater and tried a few bites but the burger was just inedible. Even the chicken on it was strangely wet and had a fishy consistency. The burger was just a disgusting wet mess and I couldn't eat it. When I took it back, I politely asked to refund it as it was inedible. Immediately the staff began to argue and tried to say that I ate 'most of the meal' because I had eaten the chips... well the chips weren't what I was complaining about were they? I explained that the chips weren't the issue and that the burger was just awful and I wanted a refund and they still kept arguing and rolling their eyes and saying 'you ate the chips, you ate the chips' which had nothing to do with the burger complaint. So rude and nasty but they finally agreed to refund specifically the amount of the burger , while still muttering rude things under their breath. What a horrible experience over all. The girl at the counter was unable to even take our order properly, then the food took ages, then on top of that the burger was a disgusting, soggy, undercooked mess. And then you have the nerve to be rude!!!!!...

I have been to caffe cherry bean plenty of times and I quiet like their food. Its value for money and generally tastes great. Today I got a coffee and banana bread which I have done before but today's banana bread was stale. I asked the young man on the counter If it was today or yesterdays banana bread and they informed me it was yesterdays. I politely and very quietly advised that it was stale. They offered me my money back but rudely said BYE BYE as in get out of her. I understand they do not make it there but its supplied to them. I said that was very unnecessary as I wasnt even going to ask for my money back he just offered. They told me to go get my banana bread and give it back (which is fine but again they said it very angry manner). The girl behind me walked out and told them she is getting her coffee else where as they were so rude to me. I I told them I come to their cafe either here at belconnen or in gungahlin at least once a month but now I will no longer go there. I asked for the owner and they informed me the younge man who was rude and serving me was the owners son. Which is even more disappointing. The young lady told me I can make my own banana bread at home haha! During all this I was quiet as I wasnt wanting to make a scene but they were very loud, rude and defensive. I really hope the owner reads...

Recently had the pleasure of trying their fried chicken burger, and must say, it was fantastic! The chicken was incredibly juicy and tender, with a perfectly crispy coating. The sause complemented the chicken beautifully, adding a wonderful flavor dimension. And let's not forget the chips! They were golden brown and perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of salt. But beyond the delicious food, what really made the experience special was the friendly staff. They were attentive and welcoming, making sure had everything I needed.
