We had our wedding at Moore and Moore in November 2021. The venue is stunning, the staff are lovely to work with and we had the most incredible night. We had a huge number of guests (the bride included) with dietary requirements and these were catered for with ease. We also had a delicious dessert table included, which went down a treat! Including a wedding coordinator with the venue ensures all other vendors for the day have a point of contact and a guide for all the set up. We had so much of the organisational stress removed thanks to Vanessa and the excellent team. As this is a working Art gallery, there will be art of the walls and it's a surprise as to what you get. We were incredibly lucky to find out the day before the art was matched to our colours perfectly! I do believe you can confirm who the artist will be in the weeks leading up to you event. But we thought it was all part of the fun of getting married surrounded by art. We had a lot of guests (115) and there was plenty of rom to walk around the 4 long tables, with a separate dance floor and bar area - but this venue would suit a small intimate event as well as you can choose which of the rooms to utilise.

Any place that has carved chess boards and a space heater next to a water wheel made of old coffee cups had better have the food to March the promise. This place delivered in spades. The coffees were delicious and at the right temperature to be able to sip without burning or gulping. Well done, far too often baristas make coffees below 65C, which makes it too easy to gulp down the coffee rather than sip it and savour the flavour. As a bonus they serve Chai Latte, made from spices not powder or syrup, in tea pots. We had scrambled eggs on toast, pancakes with caramel sauce and walnuts, and poached eggs. The pancakes were exquisite while the caramel was perfection. The scrambled eggs were beautiful to look at and also to taste. The poached eggs must have been rinsed because they had no vinegary aftertaste. Having eaten her many times before it was a welcome treat to find the food and service are as good as ever.

A couple of mates and I rode into Freo for some coffee this morning; we chose 'Moore & Moore Cafe' as our pitstop. Yes, there was a queue for orders when we first arrived. The wait for our order (a soy milk latte, a black coffee, and a cappuccino) - from order to pickup time - took about 25 minutes to get to us. This was a takeaway order. There was, however, ample seating and I was able to sit comfortably while waiting for my order. The baristas were very apologetic about the delay so I have no complaints about the quality of the service itself, but the wait left much to be desired. My friend's black coffee was not to his satisfaction, claiming that it tasted scorched. He did not finish his beverage. It's unfortunate that I did not have a five-star experience on this occasion. I am, however, willing to come back at a later date for a re-review.

Was looking forward to lunch due to the great reviews here. Was bitterly disappointed by my experience. Ordered the Pot of Moore, which on the menu read delicious and filling for a wintery day. As you can see from the photo, you got 2 sticks of bread (not toast like described) and a ramekin of sauce with an over baked egg. Seasonal veg was a few leaves of wilted kale. You can see in the photo the egg is quite over cooked and the ingredients in the ramekin tasted like Passata sauce, could not detect any seasoning or the listed ingredients. For $19, I felt ripped off, as I finished the “pot” in 2 and a half mouthfuls and remained hungry thereafter. On a good note, the kids pancakes and the cake was delicious, but again, on the expensive side. Ambiance is great and service very friendly.

I went to this cafe on a Tuesday morning winter day. Immediately upon entering, the vibe gel well with the Fremantle style — classy, rustic and historic. The food is deliciously appetising and eye catching with organically sourced ingredients. The seating is also comfortably nestled with a warm lighting and sufficient space in between each table. I’d imagine having a good quiet conversation with a friend whilst kept warm and dry in the winter day. Staff is friendly and cost overall is just right for the quality of ingredients in the meal. I really appreciate the staff and warm fuzzy feel it gives off. They have also toilets inside the cafe so you don’t need to wander around finding one. You need to try it! I had the stack breakfast in the photo below

I’m at Moore & Moore Café/Restaurant in Freo, and I have to say, the vibe here is on point. Greeted by the smooth sounds of a blues sax in their artsy entrance. Out back, it’s got that cool, historic Freo feel. My wife had her heart set on a shakshuka breakfast, even though it wasn’t on the menu. No problem—they’re making it anyway. I was craving bacon and eggs, but then they offered me a side of Dennis instead. Who’s Dennis, you ask? Dennis is a king salmon that one of the staff actually caught by hand this morning in the chilly waters of New Zealand. Dennis made the trip over here live, and just moments ago, he was happily swimming in a tank in the kitchen. Alas no more, I’m pretty excited about my side of salmon.
