Love Point Danger. Best views, north, over my favourite place on earth, "Snapper rocks" and south over Duranbah beach. Take a picnic, sit on the grassy headland, watch for a passing whale. (Whales always pass by point danger on their annual migration north. Selected times of the year), or just relax in the sun and watch some amazing surfing at Duranbah Beach. Duranbah is a Surfers heaven, perfect waves, a hot spot for local surfers. Who are amazing to watch! Or stroll down to Snapper Rocks, pass the iconic Green Frog rock to another surfing hot spot. Perch yourself on a rock, then watch some more absolutely tremendous surfing. An amazing surf club is at Snapper Rocks too. Have a cold drink, enjoy a beautiful lunch whilst over looking the spectacular beaches of Rainbow beach, views all the way up to Surfers Paradise. Great views, excellent staff,...

This most probably is my most favourite location on the Queensland Gold Coast. I ride from Broadbeach to the Point Danger lookout regularly and I normally have a coffee across the road at D'bar Cafe. The scenery from Point Danger is amazing as you look out to sea and one of the main features is the entrance to the Tweed River. During the migration season you will see whales here on a daily basis and they come in very close. The mass of surfers in the sea between Point Danger and the mouth of the Tweed River never ceases to amaze me. A sharks smorgasbord. They look like seals from Point Danger lookout. Accessibility is easy for wheelchairs and walkers with parking provided especially for people with wheelchairs and...
