Great spot for lunch - lovely views and a range of classic options on the menu at a reasonable price. Variety of tap beers on offer. Clean venue and quick service too! We enjoyed tacos, chicken burger and the nachos. Generous portions, all fresh and tasty. Chips were fantastic. Would definitely return for another dinner. Note there is a chair lift for those with accessibility requirements. However, if you have a pram you’ll need to carry it up a fair few stairs.

Hi Team Rainbow Bay Surf Club Bar! We enjoyed the drinks and the food. Sadly, we were in a time crunch, got the first few ordered plates but the second order for our table did not arrive on time for us to eat with our friends. The view is amazing! The restaurant has an incredible Aussie vibe!

Great spot for happy hour schooners and watch the sunset! Happy and lovely locals and good food as well! We had a good time drinking beers and watching the surf yesterday. We sat on the outside patio and the sunset after a short rainfall was magical! We will be back.

Terribly disappointed with the portion sizes and the lack of meat on all the meals. First we had an entree calamari with a small amount of chips and 4 peices of calamari for $14.... with a decent side salad. Worth $11 max! but only because of the great view of the beach. Then we hung around for a few $14 ave cocktails and the new girl who wasn’t trained to make the drinks made our day. She was polite and apologetic and did her best. She saved it from a one star review. We don’t review unless we think it’s a total rip off or a great place! ....so this is pretty rare considering we live in the area and eat out a few times a week. Love the venue! But... then we had the main meals....Barra and prawns for $24 sounded soooo cheap but the meal was fit for a 6 year old boy. It was average and underwealming in size. Prepare to order two $24 meals just to semi fill up. Not what you expect from a surf life saving club...(we expected decent grub at decent prices) we also had a special...karage chicken....salad was good but it was serviced with a very small amount of rice and 4 chicken bits....afterwards we felt like we had just had half an entree...I’d call myself a karage chicken expert and rated this as the worst I have had because it lacked the special brown sauce and the generally generous portion size it’s renowned for. I’ll be going back for drinks and the good live music but I’m reluctant to buy a meal ever again. Might give it ago in a few months and see if they become a little more fair and reasonable.

If we try again and enjoy the food with the view, service and music...we will change our review....

I read some comments before to come and decide not have my lunch there but come for at least have a drink… and I can confirm these bad comments I could read before to come ! Good spot but true that some of the staff are not welcoming people at all. It was a young Asian type girl at the till not busy at all as it was 4pm and she was talking with her workmates before I came to her … So, I told her “Hi” by the same “how she was going today” , she looked at me like I was an alien 👽🛸, didn’t answer me more than a “Hi” in a way than I was annoying her … Then I asked her if she could clean the table where my partner and I were seated as all the tables were dirty during 3 of the staff (including her) were just having a long chat since we arrived … anyway, she came to clean the table with a bottle of cola under her arm and some water came straight to me from this Coca Cola bottle … She told me “sorry” but her “sorry” sounded sarcastic 😏 (… if that was not done on purpose? […] ) 🙄 What this quarter of water was doing in a Coca Cola bottle ?!? Anyway again , I told her that was a good day for receive water as it’s a pretty hot day (I can be sarcastic too 😏😏) 👊🏼🤙🏼 Shame to feel unwelcome...

I will never be ordering or putting my hard earnt money through this business aver again after the way I was abused by Brett, a so called manager. I am absolutely appalled by the way I was treated as a paying customer by Brett. His behaviour and actions were discriminative, derogatory and unacceptable.

I entered the SLSC alone and had just ordered take away chips when I was approached by Brett to have shoes on. He directed I wait at the door so that I wouldn't step on glass and cut my foot in which he was nervous I'd then sue him. I was nothing but responsive and I respected his request although he continued to abuse and instigate an argument/ reaction out of me. He swore and continuously yelled in my face, demanding me to 'talk into the camera' by pointing at the camera whilst invading my personal space.

I was far from impressed by the service I received as a first time customer for a take way meal, not even sit and dining. I observed Brett discriminating against other customers on the same...
