Hobart Central Car Park — Attraction in Hobart

It's a great car park - convenient, large, wide spaces, excellent access. My wife and I both consider it our favorite city car-park, as it is within convenient walking distance of just about anywhere in the CBD. I refrained from giving it 5 stars, because, like all the HCC -run carparks, it is not a 24/7 operation! It basically means you can't use it for any activity which finishes much beyond 6 pm, as it will be closed by the time you wish to retrieve your vehicle. I cannot understand why, when no staff need to be present, it, and the other HCC carparks, cannot be "open all hours". All it would take would be to have a "hotline" intercom or app so someone could summon assistance from a callout person if, say, they could not leave the carpark due to, for example, a ticketing problem. Maybe extra CCTV coverage, too. It works in other cities....

First time here. Difficult to turn corners on every level especially if the person coming in the opposite direction is not helpful or is unaware of their surroundings.

A challenge to find a park long enough for a dual cab Ute as there are grey concrete pylons right IN THE WAY preventing you from getting the nose of the car close to the wall.

Managed to find one on the level just below roof level.

Has lift and toilets. Very central to Bathurst and Liverpool st.

Early bird tickets are available first thing in the morning, usually 7:45 - 8:20 ish. Fairly convenient if you have to park right in the city.

This car park is very narrow with sharp turns. Most drivers are not capable of making the turns at a reasonable pace without crossing over the line. I think there must be a lot of collisions happen by people not taking the corners correctly. Please beware if you have a large car and come to this car park.
