Red Parka — Local services in Hobart

Visited first time Sat 7 June and looked after by a lovely lady in a subtly Dark Mofo referencing outfit. Red Parka wasn't quite the souvenir shop I was looking for at the time, except I did get a greeting card (after knocking a few off a shelf like a bull in a china shop), and was kindly pointed in the direction of another store and even got to take a couple of off-display damaged fridge magnets. Now that's customer service. So I happily came back a week later and bought a couple more things....

What an absolutely gorgeous store. Filled to the brim with beautiful local handmade jewellery, bags, kitchen cloths and more! The staff are incredibly friendly too. They were more than happy to provide advice as to where I should visit and check out while in Hobart. Very LGBTQIA+ friendly too, which is refreshing, when you come from a place where that is most definitely not the case. I know the friend I visited with, really loved seeing books and merchandise that they felt...

My favourite store in Hobart! Great for presents in general and particularly children books. They have their own range and also stock some of the best from Australia. Can't pass close without getting myself new earrings! Recently got their mystery bundle socks and notebooks and couldn't be happier with what I received. These local legends are also super helpful and friendly and donate 50% of their profits to environmental organisations... Much love and respect to the Red...
