I had a great experience shopping at Kmart Hastings for the first time yesterday as I live really far from this area! As I was getting closer to the area, I started getting kind of ‘nervous’ because I looked completely different from the locals of the area but once I entered the store, I was pleasantly surprised that the other shoppers just once or twice looked at me due my attire 😉 as I DID look different than them 🙂 The best part of my experience was TIAHNE (hopefully, this is the correct spelling) at the check outs. What an absolutely amazing person she was-cheerful, very pleasant personality, very helpful, making me feel comfortable asking her for assistance. Not even once, even unintentionally she made me feel that my appearance/clothing didn’t look like other people around me 🤗 I sometimes get unpleasant looks due to what I wear but not during my shopping at Kmart Hastings! Read moreThe worst customer / retail experience I've ever had in in this world and in my life. On Sunday June the 9th we went in to return a product that we thought was so cheap and nasty and way below expectations. The initial contact at the returns desk was how can I help you, then the resistance started, I was told I couldn't be refunded as the box is opened, then the reasons it couldn't be refunded changed from conversation to conversation. I said to her that I'm the customer and she replied saying I don't care. Then it went on to a personal attack stating that I was being rude. I asked for the manager and quickly realised she was even worse. Both these females are beyond retraining, and have very, very poor social interaction skills. I left this huge corporate identity being Kmart, as a victim. So be warned if your purchase isn't exactly what you want, as returning it you'll get chastised until you give up. I recently visited Kmart Hastings, and I have to say it was an extremely frustrating experience. First, there were no staffed checkout counters available, which meant I was forced to use the self-checkout. Not only is this inconvenient, but the self-checkout stations are awkwardly located in the middle of the store, creating a chaotic atmosphere.
