I am so disappointed and disheartened with the terrible service provided at this cafe. I am a Support Worker and have been bringing my clients into this cafe weekly for over a year now, so am a regular customer. Today I asked if I could order a chicken and salad wrap for my client and told the waiter I did not want the one on the menu with chips at $19. I ordered a focaccia for myself which was $12 and I ordered a chicken wrap no chips for my client. When we went to pay the bill they charged my client $19 for the chicken wrap, which I queried. The Manager who knows me told me āsorry doesnāt matter that you didnāt get the chips, this is the priceā. I asked them whether they make individual wraps and how much they charge for them. She said yes they do, but because I ordered this one from the menu, there was nothing she could do about it. I tried to explain to her that I asked the young waiter who was obviously new and inexperienced for a chicken wrap, not the one from the menu. He was lovely but didnāt understand. She refused to listen and instead stood there and repeated herself, treating me as if I was stupid. I had to ask her repeatedly how much they charge for a chicken wrap without chips to which eventually she replied⦠ā$9-12 depending upon the ingredients BUT in this instance I must charge you the full price because you ordered the one from the menuā. I tried to explain I actually didnāt and there was a misunderstanding, but she refused to listen. I was totally baffled by her attitude and lack of compassion as I stood there with my client who has Down syndrome and an intellectual disability. I explained to her that he has limited funds and could not afford this amount for his lunch and that I didnāt order the wrap with the chips on the menu because it was too expensive and not in his budget. Again she continued to repeat herself as if I was stupid despite my pleas to her. Needless to say, for the sake of $7, they have lost a customer who was spending on average between $40 and $90 per week with them, and have now got a bad review on Google....

I ended up in the last 5mins getting asked 4 times if I'd like to order and then had a young girl trying to give me some coffee drink 𤮠so before I cracked it I told the guy who took my order not to worry about it. I get treated totally different when I'm with there with someone than by myself also. Never did even get offered my money back nor did anyone bother to let me know how much longer I had to wait for my sandwich but accused me of going off my head whilst in there but I actually didn't say anything whilst in there but after talking to the people I had been out the front whilst waiting and they were more annoyed by it then I was, and then I did start getting frustrated as I took a look and not one staff member or anyone was looking at me and there definitely was still no sign of them even attempting to let me know how much longer or money back or anything. I deliberately left before I did crack it as it wasn't the poor young guy whom served me's fault, I was actually really polite to him when I said not to worry about my order, he had apologised more than once for me still waiting and I felt like he was starting to feel really bad. I'm not sure how many more people I was going to watch walk in and out before me and one had a toasted sandwich. Had the usual lady been on who actually does know me like one who was there that day but outside of the shop the nice one says hi and the other one I'll say no more. And on a separate day I did try to talk about what happened and that's when apparently I had gone off my head and made a scene to point costumers were asking what happened apparently, OKAY is that why not one person was looking at me until I was away from the door and past phone box and then I said something along the lines of what a joke, I wonder how long I would have ended up f*_+$...

Unfortunately it took 45mins for our food to arrive and our coffees on 5 mins. It would have been thoughtful if the staff could advise of the wait time and also time the coffee and food arrival closer together. We asked to check in on our food after about half an hour and were told āitās still comingā but that didnāt really give an indiction of how long. When the food arrived there was issues with both my husband and Iās meals. His sunny side up eggs were SO undercooked he couldnāt finish them and I couldnāt even look at them. My scrambled eggs were very pale and watery. So watery that they soaked the piece of sourdough and made a puddle on the plate beneath them. Upon leaving we were chased out of the store asked if we had paid (which made us more disappointed/annoyed) . We had paid cash when ordering up at the counter.
