My last experience with village cinemas (gold class) was something I have not experienced before.
When greeted, I was shown to a table and basically forgotten about. I arrived 30 mins prior to the movie time so I could enjoy a drink before the movie.
When seated, I was not given a menu. This lead to the waiters/waitresses being unaware to come and check if I'd like anything. I had to wait 15 mins upon arrival, only to then have to ask for a menu. I even explained that I had not been seen to or given a menu once seated.
I felt like I then had no time to enjoy a pre movie drink as it was now 20 of the 30 minutes passed before the start of the movie.
Once the cinema had opened up to the customers, the gentleman guiding people to their seat had very little knowledge of where the seats were located.
When the movie started, I was informed (after pre paying my in movie beverages and food well before the movie time) that they had no cauliflower to complete my order. They did however ask if I'd like to substitute it for chips to which I requested some wedges.
When they brought out my start of movie drink with the meal, they also brought out the milkshake I'd ordered for the middle of the movie.
I was honestly shocked with the service this particular time.
I had experienced poor quality food prior to this session, and wrote it off as being a once off thing.... but again?
C'mon guys you need to be better.
The waiter who brought me the menu (once asked) could have offered me a free drink as reconciliation.
Training will help with the gentleman showing customers their seats.
And while I appreciate the waitress who offered me an alternative option to my food, there should be plenty of food available to prepare the correct orders to begin with.
As for the drink coming out at the wrong time, that could also be a training thing.
I'm keen to see how you respond, and plan to make this and other experiences better into the future.
Looking forward to your...
Read moreWe have given gold class 3 tries now for their sake and have to say that 1 star is generous. 1st time we went there, we planned to have dinner and dessert there. Looked up the menu online so we were all prepared. Got to our session and was given a big smile, handed a menu and then politely told they were out of every dessert item except for churros and out of 5-6 main meal items (all coincidentally the stuff we wanted). It was only 5.30pm for God sakes. We asked for a refund on our tickets as it was a 3 hour movie and went and got dinner elsewhere. 2nd time we went, again planned it all out and got there to find that they changed the menu to a smaller menu, but the old one was still online and again, out of about half a dozen items all up. We just decided to get wedges which to be honest are actually amazing. It now brings us to our 3rd time. Finally got a session where everything was available. We ordered parma sliders, Angus sliders and churros. Well, I know cinema food is known to be expensive but the sliders are an absolute joke. They are $28 each and they are literally 2 bites worth of food. The parma ones tasted "ok" but the Angus ones were as plain as you could get. $28 for a couple of bites of meat with a tiny blob of tomato sauce ok them. The buns are about as cheap as you can get. The chips literally had 0 salt on them. It was actually embarrassing. Then the churros came out, they were like chewing on pieces of cork. For the price you pay, there is no longer a "wow factor". The tickets are expensive to begin with letalone they don't maintain seats or cleanliness. Then the food is advertised in a premium way at even more premium costs. The staff are always polite but it's just not good enough to back up the poor experience once...
Read moreWent to see Misson Impossible at Gold Class at Fountain Gate the staff were lovely and took our orders n drinks and showed us to our seats.
The food was brought out but was very rushed by one staff nearly falling on the floor
My husband had the house burger to which he enjoyed, and I ordered the focaccia as there were no vegetarian burgers available, I was absolutely disgusted by the focaccia that i ordered The topping was as hard as a rock. The focaccia was so hard that it was like eating a rock, I have never in my life had such awful food that I myself would never have served to any body, so really all I had was the water that I paid for, yes you can say why didn't I tell the staff, I /expected the food to be outstanding for the price you pay, 2nd/ i was there to enjoy the food and the film not to just drink water for the whole night, I was so disappointed by what I was served ( food wise ) Also there was so much sauce on the focaccia that I got it all over my jumpers, you couldn't see it all as it was dark I put my light on my on I didn't want to do so as you spoil the film for others in the theatre Really not a very happy customer that really only wanted a nice meal n a night out with her husband which she never got
A lot of reviews are by this format or by mouth this is not one that I'm going to recommend to people and that is a bad...
