We didn't originally intend to stop here. It was on our travel planner as a "if you have time, try and see this sight". However, I am so glad we went 8 minutes out of way from the highway, and would highly recommend stopping here. The views were incredible and, unlike many lookouts, there were several points and heaps of space from which to enjoy the view. Even though it was super busy when we went there, at no point did it feel crowded. The blowhole itself was also fantastically entertaining, and honestly really consistent! If you're really wanting to get that picture-perfect photo or slowmo video, you really only have to wait every 7-10 swells for a big one to come along. While we didn't partake in these, there were heaps of walking tracks and picnic spots if you have time for a longer stop. And the main street we drove down to get to the lookout was bustling with parks and cafes and shops. There was also a cafe at the top of the hill right near the lighthouse, and the public toilets there were some of the most clean and well-kept I've ever seen. Perfect if you need a moment on a long journey. Highly recommended, and would absolutely tell friends and go back myself.

Kiama Lighthouse, located at the picturesque Kiama Blowhole in New South Wales, Australia, is a historic maritime beacon that has become a symbol of the coastal town. Constructed in 1887, the lighthouse stands 30 meters tall and is notable for its striking white tower with a red top, providing a picturesque contrast against the azure sky and ocean. The site offers breathtaking views of the coastline and the surrounding area, making it a popular spot for tourists and photographers. Visitors can explore the nearby blowhole, which creates stunning water spouts during high tide, adding to the area’s natural beauty. The lighthouse not only serves its navigational purpose but also enhances Kiama’s charm, offering a perfect spot for leisurely walks and enjoying the rich maritime heritage of the region.

The Kiama Lighthouse, perched majestically atop Blowhole Point, is a coastal gem on New South Wales’ South Coast. Its iconic white tower and striking backdrop of rugged cliffs and azure waters make it a must-visit attraction. While it no longer serves as an active navigational aid, the lighthouse serves as a historical landmark and an excellent vantage point for whale watching during migration seasons. The surrounding Kiama Coastal Walk offers breathtaking vistas of the Pacific Ocean and access to the famous Kiama Blowhole. A visit to the Kiama Lighthouse promises not only panoramic views but also a deep connection to the region’s maritime heritage. A beautiful scenic spot with a fabulous lighthouse and the added bonus of a famous blow hole! The views from Kiama lighthouse are truly breathtaking, and they get even better if you're lucky enough to be there for sunset. You'll also see whales depending on the time of year (though you'll need binoculars). There is loads of green space to sit on, as well as countless rock areas to crawl around and explore, and numerous benches to sit. The blowhole is fun, but not that much of an attraction unless you're lucky enough to be there on a day where the sea is rough and active enough to get it off big and often. All of the areas around the blowhole are fenced off for safety reasons. There is loads of parking available for free, which is a huge plus.

It's a classic place with the backdrop of oceans on one side and the beautiful green valleys and meadows that run interchangeably on the other side. And amongst this picturesque stage stands tall this bright effulgent lighthouse on top of this green hill sparsed with large pine trees. Among other adventures you can try walking along the rockways to end of the rocky shore overlooking the waves as they hit, or sit and watch the ocean, waves, distant ships, and town from raised platforms all across the hill. There are benches all around to relax and enjoy this bful scenic places. For children there is a small park with slide and other play stuff. The place has plenty of greenery and grass to lie down a mat and bask in the sun or feel the breeze.

A beautiful lighthouse, a lovely view and a wonderful scenic location. You would love the enthralling view of the ocean and the sky meeting at the horizon. The main USP of this location is the blow hole amongst the rocks from where water from the ocean gushes in through some caverns and blows up from the hole forming a spectacular fountain formation. You may have to wait for sometime (around 10-15 minutes) to view an extremely huge formation from the blow hole. Apart from this, you can even explore the rocky beach or enjoy a leisurely laid back time on the well maintained lawn facing the ocean. To add to the charm is the town itself with it's cute little shops and eateries, to give you an overall mind boggling experience.
