Letās start with the coffee, the undisputed star of the show. Smooth, well executed, it was like a tight morning hug in a mug.
The food, however, is where the wheels wobbled. My smashed avocado arrived looking like it had potentialāwell-seasoned with a minimalist presentation. But the overcooked egg perched on top was a letdown, like someone had RSVPād āyesā to the invitation but didnāt read the dress code. The sprinkling of tomato was light, I half expected it to blow away in the Fremantle breeze.
And then thereās the timing. One of my biggest gripes: staggered meals. Itās as if the kitchen staff operate across multiple time zones, and the concept of āeating togetherā is a foreign policy issue. Watching someone else eat while you wait (or vice versa) is not exactly the bonding experience I had in mind.
