Let’s start with the coffee, the undisputed star of the show. Smooth, well executed, it was like a tight morning hug in a mug.

The food, however, is where the wheels wobbled. My smashed avocado arrived looking like it had potential—well-seasoned with a minimalist presentation. But the overcooked egg perched on top was a letdown, like someone had RSVP’d “yes” to the invitation but didn’t read the dress code. The sprinkling of tomato was light, I half expected it to blow away in the Fremantle breeze.

And then there’s the timing. One of my biggest gripes: staggered meals. It’s as if the kitchen staff operate across multiple time zones, and the concept of “eating together” is a foreign policy issue. Watching someone else eat while you wait (or vice versa) is not exactly the bonding experience I had in mind.

The food took over 30 minutes to come out. The food is sandwiches and nothing crazy that should take long. Each person meal finally came out but 5 minutes apart. Meaning the first persons meal came out 15 minutes before the last persons in our party of 3. This was on a quiet Tuesday afternoon with maybe 7-8 other people in the cafe. If you have time to spare come here otherwise I wouldn’t recommend waiting over 30minuets for...

Unlike some grumpy people here we found that place unique with a great "Freo Spirit". The atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff was super helpful. They have a good selection of cold and hot drinks and some interesting new dishes on the menu. The smashed Avo and truffle toast we ordered where so tasty and not too pricey for the portion you've got. Coffees where great too! We will definitely come back after our morning...
