We had what we think is the best Indian meals of our lives here last night. This followed on from stumbling across this restaurant some weeks back while out for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We ended up having a 'Street Breakfast' that was amazing, and we determined to come back for an evening meal in the near future, and last night was the night.

Great decor, and really good service was just the start. The choices of drinks were comprehensive and reasonably priced. It's fully licensed, so leave your plonk at home and try some of their very well matched wines and beer with the food.

The food choices go beyond the ordinary, and you will find some great choices to expand what you think of Indian Food. We had the Seafood Goan curry, Lamb cutlets, Spinach and cheese curry, along with Garlic naan and rice.

The dish of the night was a dead heat between the seafood curry and the lamb cutlets. The flavours in both were amazing, and dipping the naan in the dregs was pure heaven. The lamb was cooked to perfection, and the amount of fish and prawns in the Seafood curry were generous. Subtle flavours were the name of the game in all the dishes, nothing overbearing or full of salt here.

If you love flavour then pop down and check this restaurant out. If you love Indian food this is a must visit restaurant, and if you don't normally like Indian food, this place may just well change your mind.

We ordered too much food and they were happy to package up the left overs for us.

The presentation of the restaurant was really good. Nice cutlery and glassware, enough space between tables to allow easy conversation, and subtle music that still allowed you to talk at normal levels.

We'll be back for sure, and will be taking...

Unfortunately had a very average experience here.

Upon ordering, I advised the staff that i had coeliac disease however there didn't seem to be any recognition of what that meant so i told them i had a severe allergy to gluten and that I could not have any gluten at all.

We ordered two GF dishes- the vege fritter which tasted very bland and soggy, and the young cocnut prawn curry.

The curry came inside a coconut which had a bread like casing around it- i asked the waitor what it was and she came back and said it was wheat bread? When i told her i had a severe allergy she said "yes we know but its fine because it isnt touching the food"... it was wrapped around the whole coconut and on my plate?

I requested a fresh curry without the wheat which she agreed to. She left the original dish for my friend to eat, however, about 5 minutes later came back and asked for the dish back while my friend was i the middle of eating it? Very odd and i was thinking they just poured the curry into a new bowl.

The dish also came with coconut rice included in the price. when they bought out the new dish, there was no rice? so we asked for the rice that was supposed to come with it and that took another 10/15 minutes so our curry was now cold. The curry itself was ok, prawns were mushy and defs tasted frozen.

We get to the bill and theyve charged us another $10 for extra rice. I refused to pay it and then did eventually take it off the bill.

I have woken up with stomach cramps and an upset stomach so i dont think they made me a fresh curry.

Would not recommend for anyone but especially not for those with food allergies as it was not...

I recently had the pleasure of hosting few of our family friends at Saroor, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. Food: The menu is a delightful blend of flavors and creativity. Each dish we tried was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with taste. Service: The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food. They ensured that we had the best possible dining experience. Our glasses were never empty, and every request was met with a smile. Hospitality: The hospitality at Saroor is second to none. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place for a gathering with friends. Overall, Saroor exceeded all our expectations. It’s clear that they take great pride in what they do, and it shows in every aspect of the dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic meal, exceptional service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We can’t wait to return!

And finally, Evei , u r a...

After a long time had the best chai from a Restuarant. Went for dinner at saroor. Place was quiet only couple of tables with customers . Restuarant has a nice ambience and decor. Ordered pesto fish kebab, coconut prawns , chilli chicken, naan , mugalai paneer, royal chicken biryani, igloo kulfi for dessert and masala chai. Pesto fish kebab was yummy but the wasabi did not go well with it. Without the wasabi the fish was cooked well and has a tasty lemon butter sauce and pickled ginger. Coconut prawns was tasty which came with two sauces of which the sweet tamarind sauce felt not necessary. Naan was great and so was the chai. Chilli chicken, mughali paneer and Royal chicken biryani was good. Kulfi for dessert was yummy. Staff are friendly and attentive.

Went there with family and I would say its ok in terms of taste and food authenticity. I was mainly there for street food and overall I was not impressed with the taste of what Indian food is famous for. Dishes looks good when they came out and I believe the taste has been compromised for the looks. I would rather have better taste then good looks. Serving staff failed to put one of my entrée through and I have to remind them 3-4 times that I am waiting for that. It came as we were tucking into our mains. Cost wise I felt that it was on expensive side and quality of food was average and hence the average rating. Overall it was ok and I will think twice before going again.

I ordered two mango lassi just 5 minutes ago, which cost $7.35 each, and was served pre-made lassi from a jug in a bar fridge in the smallest container I have ever been served a dairy-based beverage, coffee included. I finished the drink in 45 seconds, trying to ignore the taste of day-old yoghurt, and immediately my stomach hated me for it. At nearly $8, I expect at least one of the factors freshness, size, and business ethics (I was not informed as to the quality or volume I was about to be fleeced for), but Saroor failed on every count. On principle, avoid these scammers if not for your wallet, for your gut microflora.
