NAMORY eatery — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

I’m sorry but we did not have a good experience at all with this restaurant. We were expecting Vietnamese food based on the menu that was on the website and when we turned up the waiter advised there was a new menu. We stayed anyway and thought we would try it. It was the worst food I have ever tasted. No Vietnamese flavour at all. My mum had a dry lamb shank with no flavour, what was supposed to be a cucumber salad was two strips of cucumber with a lettuce sprig and no nice Vietnamese dressing or taste and a bowl of broth which wasn’t what was on the menu. My mum couldn’t even eat it because the chilli on the lamb shank was way too spicy .I ordered the prawns and even then I thought it would come with some nice fresh flavour, lemon coriander etc but it came with cooked lettuce underneath and tasteless. My daughter had the duck which tasted mediocre and a rubbery shallot pancake. We had the pork belly and spring rolls for entree which tasted nice but also not Vietnamese standard or what we are used to having. We were so disappointed as we paid over $200 for our meals altogether.

We will not be visiting to eat here again. So disappointing as we love our Vietnamese food ☹️☹️ and we also felt so sorry for the young female waiter as we could hear everything the Chef was saying to her, he was so rude and unprofessional. We have worked in hospitality and my mum is a Manager. Not great at all to hear this when dining at...

We read the reviews and popped by without a booking for dinner, luckily for us someone had just cancelled and the last table was available.

We dined with our two girls aged 10 & 11 and whilst they do like some international foods unfortunately Thai cuisine is not high on their list. I was almost persuaded to go else where just to keep them happy but didn't thank goodness. If I had I would have missed out on eating some of the best Thai Food I have ever eaten ! I have dined in Thailand and Dubai which has fabulous Thai restaurants however I believe the food served to us and the service was second to none. It was just so full of amazing flavours and I will be returning whenever we visit the Sunshine Coast again, this time with a reservation to ensure of never missing out. I will always order the WOK TOSSED SEAFOOD no questions about it. Thank you also for the best service we could have asked for. One of the best dining experiences in recent times! Absolutely fantastic.

Outstanding, personal service, a wonderful ambience and delicious, asian fusion dishes that made you wish you could eat more. We will definitely be back.

There were four of us and we started with cocktails and I had wine. Our entrees were Kingfish Sashimi and Chicken Ribs. Both absolutely delicious! (If you haven't had Chicken Ribs, I recommend you come here just for those). :-)

Main courses were Wok Seared Beef, Asian Rice with fresh scallops, Roasted Duck in mild curry and another Mains serving of the Kingfish Sashimi (it was THAT good!).

Medium priced but it felt like great value.
