Please avoid this place at all cost if you are pregnant or have allergies! I came here last Sunday for brunch and ordered an open chicken sandwich, I specifically asked for NO mayo (as I am pregnant and canât have raw egg so I always order no mayo) I got a 1/4 way through my sandwich when I thought I saw some mayo. I looked under the chicken and there on the bread was mayo. I went and asked one of the waitresses if the mayo was house made, which she replied yes and listed the ingredients- one being raw egg. I explained I ordered no mayo and my sandwich had mayo and that Iâm pregnant and this mistake was not ok. I asked her to ask the chef if the eggs were pasteurised, chef said they werenât. I felt horrible and a massive rush of anxiety ran through me. The waitress got me a refund and offered to make another but I said no. At no time did the manager come and speak with me either. My partner finished his food and we soon left feeling very disheartened. A mistake like this is not acceptable and there should be repercussions for the chef that was on this day as this could have drastic outcomes, especially if this is something of a regular occurrence. If someone was anaphylactic an ambulance would have been called. For me I now play the waiting game to see if I become ill or not. If the owner/manager would like to give me contact details Iâm happy to speak further...
Read moreHow can a placed named âBlendedâ get a smoothie so wrong?
We love the Noosa location of Blended and so, when we were early for our flight out of Maroochydore, decided to drive the extra half-hour (return) to get a smoothie from Blended in Maroochydore.
We paid nearly $14 for our Maca Smacka and after my daughter and I each had a sip, we threw it in the bin.
Itâs so disappointing to order a smoothie and then be given something with the consistency of juice. A smoothie is supposed to be thick - you should be able to put a straw in a smoothie and have it stay almost upright. A smoothie that sloshes around in the cup is simply not a smoothie - itâs just a strange tasting juice.
The taste itself was also off. It sounded amazing on the menu so maybe the girl who made it accidentally substituted one ingredient for another but it had a sickly-sweet taste, not something youâd expect from a place that calls itself a âHealth Barâ.
So, between the consistency and the taste, it was a total disappointment and we left it on top of a nearby rubbish bin thinking maybe a homeless person could claim it...
Read moreThis place has a lot of potential to be so much greater than what it is now, with a bit of passion and enthusiasm this place could be the 'top spot' of Cotton Tree. The acai bowl needs a bit more pizzazz for its price. It was a bit sad and depressing, I would give it's maker one of those gold stars that says 'you tried I guess'. The fruit tasted ready for retirement and the granola was literally the powdered remains from the bottom of the bag. It was not filling at all.
Speaking of prices, they don't display most of their prices which concerned me at the start, so you have to ask them which is a bit inconvenient of you are undecided on what you want to order and there's a long line of people waiting behind you.
Otherwise the staff were pretty cool and friendly. Good vibes from them. The atmosphere is good and the location is very good, they just need to step up their game a bit and I reckon they could really be top notch. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there anytime soon, but with a bit of improvement, I'd be a...
