Balgowlah Heights Deli — Restaurant in Sydney

My colleague bought food and drinks twice on the same day : the second time I joined my colleague who was seating outside consuming food bought from the deli and the owner told us We couldn't seat there because I didn't buy anything and my colleague either because he ordered take away. My mate spent more than $30 btw. The owner was really rude considering that all the tables were empty and we were just seating for one minute . Also they spell wrong names of Italian food but they claim to be 100% Italians .... they should google the exact terminology before writing names of pastry and food . Not really an Italian customer...

Nice coffee and friendly service but prices are expensive. A small coffee is $4 and a large is $4.5. but the worst thing is the 7.5% surcharge for using a card. I approached the owner and said the surcharge was too expensive and all he would say it is a flat charge and would do nothing about it. The locals here don't seem to mind paying a huge and greedy surcharge, but I don't like the idea of been ripped off! I would avoid coming here there are other coffee shops...

The food and coffee is excellent, but there is a man who works here that ruins my experience every time. I think he is in charge or at least the most senior employee. He is borderline rude and has an almost contemptuous attitude. Whenever I order from him I feel as if I’m some sort of inconvenience to him.
