Diamond Bay Reserve is a beautiful cliff top reserve and popular attraction, known for its dramatic cliff top walk with panoramic views of the ocean and coastline. Most of it is fenced off at moment due to maintenance/ repairs redevelopment A spectacular setting, Diamond Bay Reserve has a 24h off-leash dog exercise area. Dogs are to remain on leash for the remainder of the cliff walk. Limited shade available, still no progress with installation of the viewing decks and cliff walk way!! There was only a few bits of timber installated in a long time ⌛️ can't see lookout/decks been usable any time soon, still not finished. Finial a cliffwalk is operating. Not the original one which seemed to be always been built. ( land slide issues) . The new cliffwalk is skinnier than the original cliffwalk. There is 2 viewing spots with clear views of diamond Bay and the ocean ✨️ worth checking out. I posted some photos of the diamond...
Read moreLove this hidden gem in the city. Parking can be a bit of a hassle coz it’s limited and most of the side parking is already taken.
Two ways to view the cliff on the right side would be by stairs. It was a breathtaking view and you’ll appreciate how preserved this location is.
And to the left is a flat ramp, if you have a toddler I suggest that you bring a pram for your child as it’s a long walk to go and on the way back. Towards the end of this area is where they allow to unleash your dog so you can see a lot of friendly dogs walking around as well.
Although it’s a good place for family there are part of the place that doesn’t have a fence❗️. The cliff area can be accessible below the stairs 🚷through a very narrow side and a lot of people are taking risk just to get an “Instagram pic” shot or to the unfenced side (via ramp) Kids may follow so watch out and never miss them out...
Read moreIt's a very short board walk (less than 5 minutes walk end to end). Loved the views of the cliff edge. I personally loved the trip to get to the place. Started at Circular Quay and took the ferry to Rose Bay. You get to take in the views of the opera house and harbour bridge on the way. Once you get to Rose Bay, you can watch the seaplanes land and take off from the warf. Decided to walk to Diamond Bay Reserve for the exercise (took approximately 35mins). Once you're at the Reserve, you can sit on the grass and relax. Walk along the board walk to take in the views of the cliff edge. You cannot sit on the cliff edges anymore, as the edges are unstable. Is it worth the trip just to see the Diamond Bay Reserve? Not really. But if you consider the entire trip, then it...
