Qollection Patisserie - Click & Collect — Restaurant in Sydney

I requested a Vanilla Saint Honore at short notice (the night before), online ordering had already cut-off. I texted the phone number online, I got a response immediately and Quentin was happy to accommodate my late request! I drove 50mins in morning traffic to get to Hillsdale for pick-up, the cake (is it a cake? Or pastry? I don’t care), was a master piece, it looked beautiful and I couldn’t wait for my daughter to see it for her birthday (she is hard to impress when it comes to sweets - she absolutely loved it) as did my family. I highly recommend Qollection, the Saint Honore was exceptional, the cream/custard was light and airy - not heavy or gluggy. The pastry was so crisp and not softened by the cream/custard layer, even though we ate it about eight hours after pick-up! I would happily travel again to get another Qollection master piece and I recommend everybody else does too, you will definitely NOT be disappointed. At last, a place where we can get delicious French pastries that feel like home! After 25 years of disappointments with overpriced and overly sweet imitations, Qollection’s Paris-Brest was a real pleasure: light choux pastry, a silky praline cream, and ; very important for French people ; not too sweet! We also tried the cannelés and chouquettes, which tasted just like the real thing.

Living in Canberra, I’m a little jealous of Sydneysiders who can collect these beautiful cakes whenever they want. We’ve already ordered a Saint-Honoré and can’t wait to try it very soon. The collection process was easy, the welcome in the shop was very friendly, and I loved seeing that slices of flan and tarts are also available on the premises.

I can’t recommend this business highly enough. The quality and taste and their cakes and tarts is amazing- clearly prepared by a qualified pastry chef who takes pride in their work, uses high quality produce and cares deeply about customer satisfaction. I really appreciated their customer service when I called late in the afternoon on a Saturday and they were able to prepare a tart at very short notice ( even though you normally need order in advance) . Try this business, you won’t be disappointed and like me you’ll be ordering their cakes and pastries for all special occasions to come. Keep in mind re sizing, a four piece cake/ tart definitely won’t cater for more than four so if you are catering for 6 or more get the 6-8 piece (or more, like the 10 piece max so there’s an opportunity...
