Horizons — Attraction in Sydney

My wife and I got married in November 2023 at Horizons and were thrilled with how our day turned out! We wanted to leave a comprehensive review that would help anyone else looking for a fantastic venue for their event.

There were a few key things that were important to us when we were looking for a wedding venue:

We wanted a venue that sat within our budget range and that the team respected the budget we had and were fair in their inclusions.

As an LGBTQIA+ couple we of course wanted to have our wedding at a venue which was explicitly inclusive.

We wanted a coastal wedding with gorgeous views and ideally wanted to get married on the sand. It was important to us that our venue, regardless of weather, would be beautiful and that the wet weather/bad weather option was not a let down but rather still an incredible option.

We wanted to work with a wedding venue which felt personal and friendly, one who really got to know you and were genuinely excited for your day.

Coming from a culinary family, being vegetarian/vegan ourselves, and having a high number of vegetarians and vegans at the wedding, ensuring that the food was delicious, well-presented and interesting was very important to us.

Horizons delivered on the above and more in spades. We couldn't have asked for a better day. Everyone commented on how stunning the venue was, how delicious and generous the food and beverages were, the excellent service, the smooth operation behind the scenes.

Jenna is a force of nature and we felt we could really relax and have fun on the day knowing all the details were safe in her hands. Jenny made everyone feel so welcome and paid such kind attention to all our guests and our families. We had a blast getting to know Jeremy and bouncing ideas all together in our planning.

We feel so grateful to the whole Horizons team for making our day even more magical than we could have hoped for.

The Horizon team are the best in the industry - on every level. The 5 stars don’t cut it. They are perfectionists, superb, meticulous, provide exemplary service, their catering is to die for, their team are all beyond helpful, they are creative, responsive & honestly provide a hell of a lot more than venue & event management. I’m not someone who is comfortable relinquishing control or decision making when it comes to significant family events but I trust Jenna & her team more than humanly possible to describe in words. She astutely understood the brief, the desired vibe, the people we are & our needs. With total confidence, I gave Jenna authority to go for it, make all the decisions & not feel she needed to consult with me. I don’t do that easily. Jenna becomes your self care / mental health / well being champion & literally takes care of anything & everything that might be a concern particularly when there are unique needs that are sensitive to manage. And I haven’t mentioned the view which is just magic. The only problem now is - in being so bloody incredible, they’ve created a monster who wants to arrange multiple events just so I can have them in my life on a regular basis. Jenna, Jeremy, Jenny, Lee & everyone else in Team Horizons - sincere gratitude for creating an unforgettable...

Amazing! Right from the start, Jenna, Jeremy and the team were so friendly and accommodating. They took the stress off the entire planning process and were so helpful with the organisation. I could not have asked for a better team of people for my wedding.

Jeremy designed the room and florals to absolute perfection! It was better than I imagined and more than I could have asked for. The table set ups, florals, the entire room was just amazing. He really put a lot of work into it all and it definitely showed. Jeremy was super bubbly and was really there for us through it all. His cake was also delicious and I had many people raving about it!

Jenna was fantastic. Super friendly and was so involved in the night, checking in on us, making sure everything ran smoothly, and always ensuring we were being taken care of. She was so much fun and the whole night was exactly how we wanted.

I also have to mention the food. It was perfection. So delicious. The Horizons team definitely looked after us and our guests.
