I worked in the restaurant industry for 15 years and I’ve never seen or had such horrendous customer service. My friend who was with me was a server for even longer. I brought my friend visiting from Canada due to the fabulous views. I also had with me my 10 month , extremely well behaved daughter which I think is where the issue began for the manager. He reluctantly sat us outside “where everyone likes to sit during lunch hours” cool we are here, it’s lunch but thanks. He told us he had a reservation for 1:30 (it was almost noon) and we said that wasn’t a problem we’d be done then (later from his conversation with us I can assume this was a lie) We ordered juices and then mistakenly ordered off the breakfast menu. He was clearly annoyed and stated again it’s lunch and he had already explained that. So I said we would just have the juices for now (meaning leave the menus so we can look at lunch) he then explained again in an aggressive and extremely rude tone that people like to sit out here at lunch and that we had to leave at 12:30 and took the menus for us. Lol I was shocked. I said forget the juice and told him he was extremely rude. He basically said you aren’t eating and others will be so we weren’t welcome. This is the quick, leave a review version, as his dialogue to us was quite disgusting and distasteful. We were dressed nicely and are both very friendly in nature so I’m not sure why we were treated so poorly. The only assumption I can make is it was because we had a baby. They don’t offer high chairs so maybe that’s usually a deterrent for parents. I definitely won’t...
Read moreHIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN!!
The restaurant has notice at the back of their menu which says something like "for the comfort of others you are to bring your child outside the restaurant if your child cries!"
We didn't know about this at all otherwise would not book in.
We organised a breakfast catch up with families. There were 6 families with at least 10 children in the group. Our group had one warning as the kids were just too excited chatting and of course talking very loud! In which translated to one of the staff member as screaming so this guy came up to the kids and said this's your first warning. It's so dreadful to see the kids had warning from a total stranger!!
We will definitely not coming back to this place and will spread the words around to our friends and relatives not to go there with their children. I mean for goodness sake they were just being children and for some lucky Royal families their children can be "on the leash" quiet/not making noise/not crying when upset.
As for the food it's one star. Most of us has The Ultimate breakfast for $21 The bacon was burnt, mushroom was in the state of shocking, toast was okay, eggs were okay.
The extra hash brown for $4.5 was totally not worthed! 2 tiny pieces
To sum up we would rather go to IKEA for breakfast. It may not be by the beach. But the food and space are perfect ! And we will byo MC Donalds for our by the...
Read moreRude service. My friend and I came to enjoy brunch at the Pavilion. Once we had finished our food, the waitress came to clear our plates and we were talking while drinking our beverages which were still quite full. As soon as the plates were cleared, another waitress, I presume the manager or someone with some sort of managerial role, placed a reservation card for 12:30 on our table right in front of us quite loudly without a word. It was around 11:30 at this point in time. We found this to be quite rude and almost discriminatory- there were four or five other tables by the window and we were the only Asians, and the only table where she put down the card as if to tell us to leave. I do not understand why she couldn't have told us politely later on that there was a reservation for that particular table which we would have been more than happy to leave for, or even placed that card AFTER we had left.
We talked about this to her, and she told us she wasn't trying to push us out, and that she was happy to move us to another table past 12:30 if we wanted to stay for that long. Despite this, I think for someone who seems to have been in the service for a long period of time, it was inexplicably rude.
The food was also HUGELY overpriced - we paid almost $50 for a slice of bruschetta with some churizos and two tiny english muffin Egg Benedicts with...
