THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THE VENUE WAS THE MOCKTAILS

Went to this venue for year 10 formal and the overall experience was not the best. The food was mediocre, the entree and pannacotta dessert being the only decent plates served. The mains were not up to par for a venue charging 90-something dollars for the evening. The risotto was much too sweet and the accompanying sweet potato was too soft. The chicken was dry and not flavorful. Other than the food, the staff were rude and uninterested. They gave us our plates like they wanted to be anywhere but in the room with us, and the randomization what we got lead those with dietary requirements often not getting the appropriate food. The manager was rude and put the mood for the entire event off, she was snappy and while checking our bags, quite rough. They were also heard swearing at us. The provided - complimentary - DJ did not play the songs we requested and instead played the songs he wanted to play. Our cohort is quite multicultural, and his reluctance to play our music was deeply inconsiderate as the music of a party is what makes it memorable. When he did play our music, half of the cohort had left, leaving us very unsatisfied. The toilet arrangements were also quite obscure, with one hallway wherein both men's and women's cubicles next to each other. Not only this, but the entire venue was much to cramped for a cohort of 120 or so people, the dance floor also was very suffocating as we could all barely fit onto it, and the tables were squishy.

Overall, highly do not recommend coming here for formal events, and if you do, make sure you are ready to be unsatisfied and pissed off...

We had our wedding in L’Aqua Gold Room last weekend and couldn’t be happier with how everything went. The service from the staff from the very time we reached out via email was prompt and efficient with both Julia and Isabella getting back to us quickly with each request. Their all inclusive wedding packages make it really easy to budget for with no hidden extras, and instead some bonus inclusions. Our event coordinator in the lead up to our wedding day (Irene) was also very prompt and efficient with email and phone communications and made the process highly organised and stress free. The staff on the night provided exceptional service, especially Anju who was so lovely and attentive and went out of her way to check in with us throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed and more. There were wine and champagne bottles for us in the bridal room, along with extra platters of canapés for us. The view is fantastic, the food was incredible and I highly rate the venue overall. The 9pm fireworks right outside the terrace overlooking Darling Harbour were so beautiful and such a nice surprise for our guests. We couldn’t be happier about how the day and night went. We also didn’t feel rushed out at the end of the night when our guests were a little slow to leave. The security staff on the night was also really lovely although I can’t remember her name. I wouldn’t hesitate to have another event there in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone considering a wedding or special event. Thank you so much to the entire team at L’Aqua...

Absolutely horrible services and attitude. My law school had a ball here last night. Paid for almost 200 aud and no one led me to my seat when I arrived. I left my table for 2 minutes and my chair was gone then I started looked for the server’s help and the answer I got was ‘we have arranged enough seats for everyone.’ Seriously? The chair was right next to you and I was asking because i didn’t want to take someone else’s seat and I had to carry it myself - which was also fine until something worse happened.

I didn’t know vaping was not allowed in the venue bc i thought half outdoor should be fine so when a waiter came stopped me i said sorry. But then the person just started to nitpick me, watching me intensively and stop me from drinking off the bottle, which was never told not allowed either. Ok fine we can play by your rules no issues so far until she scolded my friend off when my friend was not vaping.

That pissed me off coz the staffs were super rude and it felt like they were just looking for trouble. The waiter got a managerial role here who then started to ‘educate’ me. I wanted to go outside and she stopped me and said i can’t leave when she’s talking. Excuse me, who are you?? it is not my responsibility to listen to you and it’s reallyyyy bad attitude. Then she got the security here and kicked us out, well, thank god, we were gonna leave anyway.🤣
